We close on our house on June 12th and will probably move in one the 20th. this house is 5700 sq. feet and has 4 bedrooms, 3 full and 2 half baths. The MB suite is downstairs and is 15 by 30. I can't pull up the picture any longer.

We plan on living here for around 10 years and then will sell it for something smaller. We love the acreage, pool and greenhouse.

More more more - I only see 1 pic. I like the crown molding and the tile, and the wall color!
Thanks! If you click on the link you can see all of them now. It took DH a few minutes to get it right. ;)

That's nuts...I just built a 1500 sq foot home that cost me as much as your 2700 sq ft one will (abd my home and comparable models have gone up in price by $100k)! I say do it! Here you'd pay upwards of $600k for that home.

I wanna move to Texas... :)

Tell me about it. My house is almost 4000 st and would cost about 750,000 to build right now.

My we all have such good taste in homes! I love to see other folks interior decorations, etc.

I hope to live in my home until the wheel me out! It's a perfect size!!! I have trouble keeping this one neat and tidy sometimes (I'd rather play in my time off!) If it weren't such a pain I would re-do the pool - this was built before all the "fancy" stuff!!! I love it just the same. I can float in my raft just fine!

I was shocked how reasonable TX housing is. My brother lives near Austin in a golf course community in a house that I thought would be $500k or more, and it is appraised at a bit more than my house - which as I said was very reasonable when I bought it!

Single housing prices in the area I moved from in PA were out of reach for me (single mom, 1 income, no child support) so moving to FL afforded my dream home, which I surely probably could not afford now!!!

MAK, so jealous of your pool!!!

Here is ours:

Ours is the "Imperia" model on a nice conservation lot...

This is what it looks like in person... don't know why it looks orange!!! I think we took this photo at sunset.

Love seeing everyone's houses!!!
Tracy

Thanks your house is great too. I wanted a pool and a conservation lot, but could not find both when I was moving into the area. If I had to do it over again, I might have looked more in your area, but I knew NO one except one friend who lives close by (Waterford Lakes/Eastwood area). We really spend no time together now that I live here!!!

I totally moved to FL on an impulse - here on vacation March 13-17, 2003 (first time ever to WDW) and by May 29th, 2003, I settled on my house!!! I don't think I would up root DD now that we are settled unless I found something else too good to be true (or if I ever find Mr. Right!!!)

I love it! Your house reminds me a lot of my MIL's in Texas. I also really like the furnishings are they yours or the previous owner's?

We don't move in for 3 weeks so they are the previous owners. The good news is that they are selling almost everything in the house and we get first dibs. When we go have the house inspected on Friday they will have the price on everything they are selling. I would like to say everything in the house is what we would pick out, but really their taste is better than ours. I never would have been that creative in the bathroom and with the flooring. I can't wait to move in.

I don't have the floorplan but this is the exterior. It's 4 BR 3 1/2 BA, Master on main level other BR's up. Approx 2700 sf.

It's a 1940's Cape Cod, yellow with green shutters, about 2000 square feet. Has a living room, kitchen, dining room, den & bathroom on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, a one car garage underneath. The first floor den could also be used as a bedroom if need be.

We like it. We weren't able to have kids so it's plenty big enough for DH & I, and nice and affordable so we are not slaves to the house, if you KWIM.

Wow, they really do have some good taste. I love the kitchen bar stools, coffee table, armoire, and sofa

We drew up our own plans and built. The blueprints are slightly different in some areas than what we ended up building, but it's pretty much the same.

This picture is about 1 1/2 years old. We have more grass and landscaping now.

The inside! Okay, the rooms to the far left are the kids' rooms with a "Jack and Jill" bathroom separating them (they each have their own toilet/sink room separated by a tub/shower room). If you can tell where the foyer is the room to the left of that is the study/guest room! The foyer isn't very noticeable in the plan because the opening to the dining room (the dining room is to the right of the foyer) is too large, therefore, making little wall for the right side of the foyer. Lost? Currently the dining room opening is showed as 8 feet. Too big! So we are going to reduce it to a 4-5 foot opening making the foyer more pronounced and the two areas more separated. Okay, the large room in the center is the living room. The dining room is, again, to the right of the foyer. Behind the dining room is the kitchen. You should be able to see the curved eating bar with the sink in it on the plan. Behind the kitchen or to the back of the house is the breakfast nook. Okay, now for the far right side of the plan. The large area to the front of the house is our side entry garage. We made it extra big to fit our vehicles in. Although I only have a midsize car Ronnie has a large truck and one day I may get something bigger. We see too many houses where the garage is so small the family can only fit one vehicle in the garage. Okay, behind the garage is the utility room and the backside of our master bathroom. Behind all that and to the back of the house is our master bedroom, sitting room, our closet, and other parts of our bathroom.

The total area is about 4000 sf. and the living area is a little more than 2600 sf. It's our very first home so, of course, there are things we find that we'd do differently, but I hear that's pretty normal.

Your floorplans and houses are really nice! I love looking into other's houses......... Only if they give me permission that is.

My home is also in a masterplanned golf course community. It has it's draw backs with the homeowners associations, and them telling us what to do and all. Plus the taxes in Texas are high, although, looks like we are going to be getting a break sometime soon!!!

Ours is very similar to Mr Slydell's. Things are arranged a little differently, but basically the same, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, and on the main level an eat in kitchen, laundry, family, living, dining rooms and a study . We also have a full, finished basement, with an office for my DH, a playroom with a ping pong table and fold-up basketball thingy, a rec room with a foosball table, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom.

It's in a "master planned community", which means bike/walking paths, pools, and a board that sticks their noses into everyones business. That's good and bad, kind of like the DIS... ;) :teeth: :rotfl:

We hope to be here until our kids are grown, but of course that is subject to change. It's a wonderful place to raise a family.

Same here -- master planned community and the subject to change part included. The basement is being done right now. :)

This is the one I'm really hoping for! It's not finished yet, so it may not look like all that without the landscaping, etc. in the picture, but it sure is pretty in person!
http://www.meybohm.com/images/homes2/265303a.jpg

I'll find out tomorrow at 4:00pm if we're going ahead with it or not. If not It'll be another 8 months or so to wait on constuction of another one.

I adore the neighborhood, so I really won't be too devestated if it doesn't work out as long as we get something in that area. (but it would be very nice to get that one!) :teeth:

On the outside it has a metal roof on the porch. It's soo pretty on the inside..beadboard ceilings, heart pine floors, beautiful granite...the builder put so much effort into the details!

AND

To top it off the entire neighborhood was modeled after Celebration! :cloud9:

Oh, I love that house! That style house is probably what we'll build next. The only reason we didn't this time is because we didn't want two-story. Now I don't really care. What city are you in in Jaw-juh...? :teeth:
