I was having this discussion with a friend of mine she makes a hot breakfast at least 5 days a week.

I dont.

She swears it gets her kids a better start to the day. I would like to think my kids are getting a good start...

My kids usually have cereal ( at least its non sugared lol ) and I make a hot breakfast 2 days weeks.

What does your family have for breakfast?

My DD (almost 10) has cereal, yogurt and toast every morning. She is not a "hot breakfast" kid (thank God, because there is no way I would cook one every day). ;) I have cereal or oatmeal, OJ and coffee. DH leaves for work before we get up, I think he eats cereal or a cereal bar.

I despise eggs and don't eat pancakes or waffles so a hot breakfast would be a waste here. :)

Including, but not limited to....

Toast and ham
Cereal and milk
Fruit
Leftover Pizza
Leftover hamburgers
Biscuits
Bagels
Pop-tarts or equivalent
Waffles
Bacon (pre-cooked)
Pancakes
Sausage Biscuits
Breakfast Pizzas
Breakfast Bars

It's all grab and go.... frozen waffles and pancakes are a breeze.

Pretty much anything goes around here! I did object when my 13 year old started to warm up leftover enchiladas.... you have to draw the line somewhere!!!
:p

Breakfast
We're usually running late, especially on school days and barely make it out the door on time without breakfast. Ideally DD would have at least eaten a bowl of cereal. I hope to send her off right this coming year, but I'll have to get her out of bed first. ;)

Cereal or poptarts or granola bars on school mornings. Eggs, pancakes, or French toast on the weekends.:D

The 2 boys don't eat breakfast, and my dh eats the same meal every day---Shredded Wheat & Bran with milk, and a banana. Even if I cooked him something he wouldn't eat it. I have different things according to the weather but usually I make a shake---yogurt, fruit, a half a banana and if there needs to be a little bit more liquid some real orange juice.

breakfast bars and a bottle of coke for me,food you can take to college classes

We either have waffles (frozen) or cereal. I do make pancakes sometimes. Very rarely will I make a big eggs & sausage type breakfast. Oh, instant oatmeal we have often as well.

On weekdays, the kids usually have cereal. On the weekends or if I take a day off, I'll fix them pancakes/waffles (frozen, of course;) ) and a scrambled egg. I know they get tired of eating "boring" cereal.

DH doesn't really eat breakfast and I alternate between cereal, toast/yogurt or oatmeal in the winter. Just depends on my mood.

we usually have cold cereal (usually shredded wheat, raisin bran, or Cherrios) and oj for breakfast. In the winter its usually oatmeal (and not those instant packets!). Occasionally pancakes or waffles, usually a couple of times a month on weekends. Greg will sometimes make eggs for himself, but since my pregnancy with Daniel I developed an aversion to them. Too bad, because I used to love them!

Frozen waffles, toaster stredels, pop tarts or cereal and milk. On Saturdays, I usually make them a hot breakfast.
