I am planning on scheduling a full cleaning for at least one day while we are at BWV (it's my vacation, too and I like having the room fully cleaned while we are away). I am just curious what trash and towel so I can make my decision.

Also, do I notate on my reservation that we would like full cleaning and on which day or do I wait for check-in?

Thanks!!!

Trash and Towel includes emptying the trash; providing fresh bathroom linens; replace facial tissue, paper towels, toilet paper; replenish coffee, sugar, cream, sweeteners; replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed. It does NOT include fresh bed linens.

Full housekeeping service includes all Trash/Towel services; changing bed linens; vacuum/dust; clean bathroom(s); clean kitchenette and wash dishes.

For stays of less than 8 nights a T&T service will be provided on day 4 (count checkin as day 1). For stays of 8 days or more, full cleaning is provided on day 4 and T&T on day 8 (alternating for stays of 12 days or more).

Additional service may be arranged by calling housekeeping or thru the front desk. T&T is available for $10 per day requested. Full cleaning is $25 (Studio), $30 (1BR), $40(2BR) and $60(GV) per day requested.

An additional set of towels ($ bath towels, 4 habd towels, 4 washcloths) is available for $6. Additional soap package is $3, Coffee package is $3 and additonal Tide is $1.

Enjoy!

Doc covered it all. Once you experience trash and towel and not the full service you may be surprised how you will not miss the full service. We just make the bed, and throw the towels in the washer everyday and dry them when we come back. For me I prefer trash and towel over the normal cleaning. You might also.

and laundry detergent as needed

When we were at BWV in January we did NOT get laundry soap replaced on T & T day as we have in the past. When I called mousekeeping I was told that laundry soap is NOT a part of T & T service, it is an extra charge. They did, however, send us 2 boxes at no charge.
All said and done, I would trust Doc's word about what is SUPPOSED to happen over what a CM in mousekeeping says, but the laundry soap may be something you will need to request.

I copied that verbatim from the Member Guidebook. I sure don't carry a copy with me, but would be willing to quietly, firmly discuss such issues with housekeeping if they are too insistent. It sounds like the did the right thing in the end, but it's too bad they chose to argue the fact in the meantime.

On our stay last week, laundry soap was replenished without prompting.

We have only stayed one trip in DVC. We were keeping such odd hours, and the place felt so much like "our place", we decided we didn't want anyone coming in and having to "work around them"...we just cancelled our T&T, and we weren't there long enough to get a full cleaning.

Our dd was sick...out "both ends"...so, we were doing a LOT of laundry. Washing the towels was a breeze, and I was constantly having to pick up anyway because of her.

It was weird...I didn't expect to "not want to be bothered" with a cleaning...but, it was really nice. I can see why DVC members opted not to have this every day.
