What does this mean?

I saw this in an allearsnet.com newsletter and I can't figure out what it means. The lady is talking about the new passes and the Premium pass in particular. The part I don't get is highlighted

Her quote: "I really like the flexibility of the Magic Your Way passes. I like that guests have the option to give up a little (like park-hopping or going to the minor parks) to save a few bucks -- and for people on a budget, those few bucks can be very important. Who could afford UPHs on a budget? They were ridiculously priced. And I love that the options finally include DisneyQuest! What I don't like is that, if you buy a Premium Pass, you're stuck with that "night of your trip plus one" rule.

I believe if you buy MYW as part of a room package, you have to buy it for all days. To get the dining option, you have to buy it as part of a room package.

I think what it means is that if you get an UPH pass, it's for your length of stay. They start the day you check in and expire at midnight the day you check out, so if you're there 7 nights, the UPH is good for 8 days.

I'm not getting this. If you're staying in a WDW resort and you buy a MYW pass you must buy it for all days? I thought it would be available to you whether you stay at Disney resorts or not. I also thought you could buy any type ticket you desired.

I e-mailed all-ears when I saw this in their newsletter and very quickly recived the following responde:

"On the Premium Pass (which is comparable to the old Ultimate Magic Pass), you MUST purchase a pass for the number of nights of your stay +1. All other passes are purchased for whatever number of days you want.

THE ALL EARS NET TEAM"

I have not seen anything about this anywhere else and the response really didn't clear this up. Are they saying that you can only get a "premium" pass including hopper and plus options if you are staying on site? I assume this only relates to DW packages.

From what I read on Your Magical Journeys it says: " Disney's Magic Your Way Premium Package- offers everything found in the Disney's Magic Your Way Package, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner per person per package night an an assortment of other exclusive oppotunities- unlimited use of recreation, tours, admission to Cirque du Soleil, and other great features." It also says that with the Magic Your Way Premiun Package your Magic Your Way Premium Pass must equal the number of nights of the Disney Resort stay, plus one day.

You can get Magic Your Way without staying on-site. It is my understanding that the Premium pass is just the pass the includes hopping & plus options. So it seems like you can purchase premium pass without staying on-site.

It seems like they are confusing the Premium Package with the Premium pass.

At least that is what I can gather from piecing together information from Your Magical Journey's and All Ears. I guess everything will be cleared up on 1/2/05.

The Magic Your Way Premium Package is similar to the Dream Maker Gold Plan - and the restriction that is placed is that you must purchase MYW Premium passes/tickets for the length of your stay, which is the number of nights plus 1.

i.e. a 5 night Magic Your Way Premium package would have 5 nights accomodations with a 6 day MYW Premium pass, dining, and recreation.
