What does "bump" mean? I have been in the Rent/Trade forum and have seen it used a few times. I did a search but didn't find any answers. Help! Am I missing something???

"bump" means someone is posting again for the purpose of bumping the advertisement up at the top of the screen so that it is easily seen and there are more chances of others reading it.

If a thread has not had any recent responses, a poster will reply with "bump" post in order to "bump" the thread back to the top of the list and, hopefully, get more folks to view the thread and respond.

If nobody responds to your thread it drops down pages to get it to the Top of the Pages you Bump (respond to ) it yourself .
You have to post at least 5 letters or char. or items so "BUMP" works great.

The Rent / trade board they are alway trying to position theirselves on top.
