I believe that was just something someone said that was based on coinciding with the "end of the SSR promotion". I believe folks were saying that the SSR promo was to end on Jan 15th and expecting to unveil the new billboard to reveal the new promo or something...

On our going home day last Tuesday, one of the DVC kiosk reps at DTD said the sign was there to announce a new billboard that was going up today.

On our going home day last Tuesday, one of the DVC kiosk reps at DTD said the sign was there to announce a new billboard that was going up today.

I wonder if they formed a committee to form the committee who created the sign to announce the billboard.....

No, I talked to a member of the DVC management team at the Merry Mixer. That's why I'm so confident that what he told me is correct!

I did talk to a lady at a DVC kiosk at MGM one day though. Asked her if there was any DVC news or rumors she could share. She said I'd have to ask one of the bus drivers! lol

I drove past the sign about 30 minutes ago and it has not changed. It still has the "Best Kept Secret" logo and "Coming Soon" at the bottom with the wrapped package.

There was a crew doing "something" near the sign, but no appearance of any pending changes in the near future.

I'll be around for a few more days and will take a look again.

DVCJohn, Since we both got the "billboard announcing a billboard" explanation, I'm going to take that as the real answer. It makes sense they would do a sign in that spot too, since it is right across from the Bonnet Creek entrance.

Just got home-the billboard was still covered and couldn't get anything out of my guide-even did an add on and couldn't get the scoop!!!
