I would probably have gone with : "Bye, honey, I'm going to meet up with my Disney Hubby, and my well behave Disney children! Keep the mouse clean while I'm gone!"
Count me in the D is for Disney camp. I've been on the internet for a long time, and I knew it stands for something like Darling or Dear (or the negative counterparts), but I like thinking Disney better.
My next trip I will be going with my daughter and her father, my ex. I've taken to calling him my DX in my posts here.
If this was Facebook, I would "like".
The guy I live with could be my boyfriend, but geez, we are over forty! We are not married, so he is my partner. But I don't call him "dear partner".
My partner (same sex) would kill me if I said "dear partner", "darling partner" or even worse "Disney partner". Or what about an absurd, yet politically correct DISboards abbreviation: DDSSP "Darling Disney Same Sex Partner". Hey, I might be on to something here. But if I call him that, there's a very good chance I'll be single in a week.
Also over forty here. I guess there's someting to be said about being a grown up after-all.
yeah I always read it as disney, but that is because I have an unhealthy obsession that tries to look for hidden mickeys even in my own house...what scares me is when I actually find them.
