What does Pot/Weed smell like?

I just came into my apartment from a midnight pancake thing, and about two minutes after coming in I smelled a nasty reek! It reminds me of a skunk smell. Is that what weed smells like? I feel like I've smelled this smell before. I suspect its something smoked because I caught my roommate with a guy over who is a known pothead.

Thankfully we don't share food, but I raelly don't have anything to eat! She says he was just dropping off meds, but I don't think it would reek this bad!

Anyways, to answer your question, go to a health food store and buy some white oak leaves. It's called sage. Native Americans use it as incense for cleansing & purifying rituals.

Light the sage and blow out the flame, so it's tiny red embers, only smoking at the edges of the leaves. That smoke smell is very much like the smell of pot.

Yeah, I've never associated pot smell with skunk smell.

Skunk smell, I want to roll up the windows & not smell it again.

I have never smoked pot, but I unfortunately had a roomie in college who did. It is hard for me to describe the smell exactly, mainly because the aroma was often mixed with the smell of vomit from when he would enjoy "a little" vodka. He never cleaned up after himself after vomiting or doing other things in the bathroom which isn't that unusual for a young male college student except that he rarely made the bowl, so I would often spend my mornings on my hands and knees cleaning just so I could feel comfortable using the toilet and shower. After a semester of that, I insisted on getting someone who was attending university for the purpose of studying.

I was about to say, I've never associated the smell of pot with a skunk. (I don't smoke pot... but I'm a college student so it tends to be at parties and such sometimes.) Nor do I know how to describe it. It's been awhile since it's been around, thankfully.

I did smoke...30 years ago. Long after that I could smell it in the air at Blink 182 concerts and such with my child. It does not smell like skunk, and it will not kill you, or cause the downfall of anyone!

I guess I have had a sheltered life because I really do not know what it smells like. Everybody I have asked either doesn't know or starts talking like Cheech or Chong and says "it has its own smell" kind of answer.

I was wondering the same thing! As a child of the 1960s (give peace a chance, and all that stuff), the first adjective that comes to mind when thinking of the smell of pot is "sweet". Like beaucoup said, skunk you don't want to smell, and want to get rid of as soon as possible. Skunk is acrid, pot is not.

Skunk weed indeed does smell like skunk, hence the name, skunk weed.

It is the product that smells like skunk, not the by-products in the air after being smoked.

It is not the cheap weed either. It can be significantly more expensive than your regular ordinary every day weed.
