What Does Everyone Use to Keep Track of Plans

MDE, Tripit , touring plans, and I've emailed everything to both of my addresses and DH. I can access everything on either phone.

Although we are technologically savvy, we prefer to keep our plans the old fashioned way with a paper and pencil. We print our our reservations and write on the back anything that pertains to that day at one of the parks like EMH, event times characters, etc etc.

Combination of things. Plan everything in google docs and have drive on my phone to access. I also make a print out of each day and one that has all dining plans on it. I did screen shots of my FP+ as MDE wasn't always reflecting things correctly in Nov. But I did use MDE often to alter FP+. Plan to use same approach in a few weeks!

I use a Word document combo with an excel spreadsheet for planning at home. In the park I plan to use my iPhone to keep track of it all :goodvibes:goodvibes

Ideally the MDE app , if it wasn't for the constant glitches, poor speeds, and non user friendly and illogical interface . We used to use an old app called Mouse Memo , and still use it as a backup for times and reservation numbers . It's basically just notepad with some Disney customizations but it does the job....

I used to use index cards and spreadsheets. With the MDE app I find myself relying more on that. Haven't had any major issues with it. Also, as some others have said, I put my ADRs into my phone's calendar. Quick and easy. (Although I am loving the idea about taking a pic and putting the plans on the lock screen! Genius!)

We use MDE and as a backup I create a Word Document with a 1/2 page dedicated to each travel day. I keep that in my email, but I also snap a picture of each day and keep it in my phone photos (under a specifically named folder, like Disney 2014).

Several times on our recent trips, we have experienced glitches with MDE....(couldn't access, missing info, etc.) The photos provide a quick and easy backup. I also like that I can have everything neatly laid out in the order I will need it for the day, FPs, park hours for park hopping, ADRs, counter services we want to remember to try, reservation numbers for water park rentals, etc. I even include arrival and departure days with flight info, Magical Express reservation number, WDW package info, etc.

Google Drive: Have a Trip folder with spreadsheet for ADRs and Conf Numbers, then simple docs for other notes and park specific stuff—i.e condensed version of the new Frozen events at HS b/c this will be new to us and we wont remember the schedule off hand.

I go to easywdw and print Josh's map of each park. Then I circle the location of the ADR or FP+ and write the time next to it. Then I fold it up and stick it in my pocket for the day.

Last trip I had three different families going and we had some reservations together and some separate. I made a map of each day for each family and used different colored highlighters to highlight the times so we could easily find each other when separated. Came in handy quite a few times.

The plans/itinerary page of MDE will list everything you have reservations or fastpass for, plus allows you to add anything else plain text with the time. When I am on that page I take a screenshot on my iPhone and make that screenshot my lock screen (iPhone screen that shows up before you unlock the screen) wallpaper. That way I don't have to run my battery down using the MDE app and can take a look at plans via a quick glance without unlocking my phone. Works like a charm and allows my batt to make it thought the day without the need for a recharge. Those apps, especially since MDE app uses data, really pull juice.
Pure brilliance! I am definitely stealing this idea, thanks for sharing!

Word docs mostly. I also scan copies of my confirmations for hotel and airline and add them to the same folder which I then upload to google drive.

My brain.;)

OK. Seriously. Last trip I took print outs of all my ADR reservations and had a tiny notepad to keep track of a few things.

We haven't experienced a trip with MDE yet, but in the past I used to print off the schedules (park hours and show times) in advance of the trip and pick which day we would visit a certain park, but I found that when I got to the park I would throw all my pre-planning stuff out the window and just went with it!

I have always kept a screen shot of any reservations we made for dinners, BBB, Pirates League or parties on my phone and would add them to my iPhone's calendar so that I can get an alert prior to the time though.

Looking forward to keeping all this info in MDE for our trip this coming November!!

For our first trip, I typed up everything I wanted to remember & taped that to small index cards. I then laminated the cards & hooked them on a key ring. I carried that in our backpack.

Second trip we were with another family and they made the few ADR's we had, so the only thing I did was keep a paper with where the Kidcot stops were located.

Third trip will be with grandparents, no dining plan, FP! & F! dining package. I'll probably go back to the way I did the first trip. I know I could put all this on my phone, & I might do that as well, but I don't trust technology! I need a physical piece of paper in front of me. DH will have his phone & I might put the confirmation numbers I need in his phone too, as a back up.

I use MDE for planning and keeping track of everything, but then I have a paper back up for things with confirmation numbers as well. I have a print out of the WDW Operating Hours and what I do is highlight in green the parks that I want to visit for the day and I write in my ADRs with the confirmation #s and times and highlight those.
