what does everyone do for a living?

My official title is Application Development Specialist. The "old" term is computer programmer. But I just tell everyone that I work with computers, to save the confusion.

I teach 8th grade Special Ed. My DH is self employed (video production). I have several little jobs (tutoring kids before and after school, working Saturday School twice a month, and then I get stipend from our church for being one of the kids directors). We bought into DVC in 2003 (I think) and that has helped us go. We typically go 3 times every other year. So we buy an AP every other year. We always drive (never good rates from here). Have done the DDP twice and before that I budgeted every meal and snack. I really like to crunch the numbers. For us we like vacations--DH is gone a lot from August to March so we like to take a week in Nov/December or March to have family time. Then in the summer we go the the beach with friends and split everything 50/50. We are taking next year off from trips to get out of debt. Had a lot of illness this past 2 years and are wanting to pay off all medical and some minor cards. Hopefully this will happen.

I am a former elementary teacher turned SAHM; DH is VP for a window company.

Our plan was to go every other year, but we're going again this December as friends have invited us to stay with them at Bonnet Creek this Christmas... of course we said yes- it's free... the lodging, that is

I am a General & Sales Manager for a Screen Printing company in Fayetteville TN.

On top of my sales duties, I also work in the Art department working on artwork.. I work in the vinyl graphics department from time to time.. I also get to work in the production department actually printing tshirts when things get really busy. :)

It pays the bills:cool1:

I own and operate Becky's Beehive Family Childcare. DH is a meatcutter in a grocery store.

We have been to Disneyland 4 times in the last 7 years. The last time we used our income tax refund. We have never been to WDW because we live on the West Coast of Canada and going to Florida is a lot more expensive than going across the country.

We went to DL for our honeymoon in 99 and planned then to go to WDW for our 10th anniversary in 09. So we are currently planning a trip in a couple years.

I am an office administrator turned sahm. My dh is P.Eng chemical engineer

We always drive (never good rates from here).

I know what you mean! We're in Jackson, MS right now and there are never good airfare rates! For some reason, Shreveport, LA gets $59 one-way specials to Orlando, but we can't. :confused3 Oh, well. The drive isn't too bad.

DH (a quality assurance supervisor for a tire manufacturer) & I (a childcare center director) are empty-nesters that started our obsession with WDW 32 years ago on our Disneymoon. Our children grew up going to WDW every other year. Now that DH & I are empty-nesters we have become DVC members (2005). We visit WDW at least twice a year. Once with just the two of us before Christmas and once with the growing family usually sometime in the winter. Last year DH & I visited Disney's Vero Beach Resort as well as Hilton Head Resort. We will be taking our second Disney cruise this Sept. DH & I both have very demanding jobs and feel that our time together having fun is essential to our marriage and well-being. We can replace the carpet later.:rolleyes1

Man, some of you have some interesting sounding jobs. I'm jealous! ;) Dh is a manager in the claims reporting department at AIG (auto division). I work part time as a dispatcher for a food distributor. (We deliver to Wendy's, Boston Market, Quiznos and Arby's in the NE)

I work in the Promotional Products Industry- Quotes Specialist.
My new DH is a Business Anaylst for a company that specializes in computer programs for Apartment companies across the US.

Planning out 1st trip together to WDW in 8 days.
(but would like to make it a yearly tradition :thumbsup2 ...don't think it'll be too hard. DH is as much inlove with the mouse as I am! )

AMAZING!! I always wonder the same thing!! How does everyone afford to go 2 or 3 times a year? For our family, it is something we have to save for so we are lucky to go 1 time a year!!! My DH doesn't travel that much, so we have no frequent flyer miles and we are not AP holders! My DH is a manager of a non-destructive testing lab by the Indy airport, and I was a stay at home mom for 9 years but now substitute teach and have a part time retail job on Saturdays. Now that I substitute teach, we can save enough to go to Disney every one to two years. Shellymouse, I see you are from Holland, Michigan. All of my mom's family is from there! One of my cousins lives on Third Street in Holland. My mom also has family in Grand Haven. We love it there! The Coast Guard Festival is so fun! We may try to get up there this year for that!!!

We are also from the same neck of the woods as Shelleymouse:)
I'm a SAHM, and my DH is an technician at a wastewater treatment plant and he is also a volunteer firefighter. We can only make it to WDW once every 18 months. We usually rob the "new house" fund to pay for our trips. However, we are always looking for cheap airfare. Usually through Spirt Air who flies out of Detroit.

I wish I could go to WDW 2 or 3 times a year, whew!!! I am a Pharmacy Tech and my husband is a police officer.

I'm really a lunchlady in a primary school but also work part time on weekends. This is where we get the extra money from. My husband is a construction foreman.Everyone can live on less if they wanted to. We went for a week in August and 9 days at Christmas.Thinking about Christmas again this year.We have a 15 yr old at home.Everyone else is grown and gone.We don't deprive ourselves but budget money every month for vacation. And we use our tax refund for our camping money for the year.

I am a laboratory technologist and my husband is a journeyman electrician. We go to WDW once a year, usually in the spring with the kids during their break, but delaying our trip this year til middle of May.
