*What does everyone do for a living/job/career???*...

I am a SAHM, and I have been for the past 10 years or so.Before that I worked at a Bank in customer Service for 10 years and I loved it. My DH is a Federal employee.

I am the Human Resources Generalist for a growing information technology consulting firm. I do benefits, orientations, exit interviews, proposals and bids, etc.

A far cry from what I studied in college! :rotfl2:

I wanted to PM you but my PM button seems to have disappeared! DH and I are both in school earning our Organizational Behavior degrees right now. We're thinking we'll probably end up with jobs similar to yours. Would you please PM me with some info about what you do, and how you like it? (and general pay info, if that's not too personal!)

Thank you!

I work for the county - Public Health and Human Services - as a clerk. I am also a full time student, pushing through school as fast as possible - will be done in a year and a half!

Manicurist. However, now I work in the office for my DH. He has an aviation maintenance facility.

I'm 21. I am a full time student/ student researcher (takes up ALOT of time).

I also work almost fulltime as a support staff for individuals with special needs. I love my job.

I hope to go to graaduate school and get my Ph.d in clinical neuropsychology. I would love to specialize in pervasive developmental disorders.

You are my twin! I want to go to grad school for clinical psychology. I'm already freaking out about those 5% acceptance rates.

I am a research program assistant for a medical school. I get to use my psych degree :cool1:

Currently unemployed and trying to get my jewelry design business up and running.

I'm a full time nursing student. I also work full time as a Quality Assurance Specialist at a relay call center. For those who haven't taken a relay call before (lucky!), they're set up so deaf/hard of hearing people can make phone calls to hearing people. So basically, I sit at my desk all day and browse the DIS while monitoring calls. :thumbsup2

I work 2 jobs. One is at a company in downtown that has different entertainment events at 3 different buildings (it's one company): an arena, a theatre, and the convention center. It's year round and part time, but hours are based on whatever events on going on.

My other job is just during baseball season and it's at the ballpark working for the Milwaukee Brewers! Also, I work just when there's games going on.

I love both those jobs and have been at them for several years. Both involve ushering and helping the general public (ticket taking for the brewers!) These are the first jobs that I really really enjoy and if I could do something that's more of a career that's similar to this I would. Kind of like in the entertainment business but behind the scenes.

I also dogsit for a cockapoo named "Mickey" whenever they need me. Another job I love!

full-time student. I will be a senior history and theatre arts double major at Gettysburg College in the fall. :)

This summer, I'm interning with Ellis Island National Park. I'm now considering a career as a park ranger in the national parks. It's really fun.

But after graduation, I'm applying for the fall advantage '10 college program at WDW. Then maybe grad school? I don't really know yet.

Director of Development for a national non-profit (fund raising & major events) until I was laid off this past Fall.

Freaked out at first but have had time to travel, write & garden:thumbsup2

DH is an EE.

You guys all have such interesting jobs!!!

Nobody ever says...."When I grow up I want to work at the phone company" :rolleyes1

I teach elementary special education. I love my job!!!

I have a PR degree. I work as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a large continuing care retirement community. Not what I trained for but all my various jobs have prepared me for it. Im pretty darn good at it too and feel like I have finally found the right fit. I love it. I guess I do get to use my PR - I am the gatekeeper between my boss and our staff and residents.I "relate to the public" a LOT :).

The wife is a SAHM taking care of our son and daughter. I'm an aircraft mechanic with the USAF and student pilot. I'll be able to retire from the AF in October.

Hey everyone! WOW! I can't believe I had some recent posts on this thread, I was bored today so I looked to see what threads I started in the past and I forgot all about this.. this was started in January! I since then have a new job... which was a bad move on my part.. all I can say is NEVER work for a Casino :sad2: its VERY miserable...that brings me to my next question for anyone out there!!

If ANYONE works in the travel industry like AAA or Liberty Travel.. anywhere.. but especially in the Pennsylvania area(Lehigh Valley--Allentown,Bethlehem etc.) PLEASE contact me via PRIVATE MESSAGE or you can reply here!!:)

I have been working VERY hard to get out of my currect job and I won't give up because I need to get out ASAP, but I have applied at AAA and Liberty Travel, I have HIGH interest in that area and esp. for Disney.. I have been a Disney Cast Member(worked for the WDW Company for 1 year) and LOVED IT!! I just need tips/advice or anyone who could help me or knows someone who could help me get in.

Also if anyone has any knowledge of job openings especially in the area I mentioned before(eastern Pennslyvania--Allentown/Bethlehem 10mins from the border of NJ-Phillipsburg area..) I would appreciate any ideas--esp. travel industry.. or working for a hospital or college.

Thanks so much guys!! :goodvibes

Police dispatcher.

We are always hiring and can't seem to find enough good people.

Aww your doing a great thing! My boyfriend is a 9-11 dispatcher full-time and has been for now over 2 years! He is also a volunteer firefighter... its great because the county he does dispatching for is his county he volunteers in.. he knows everrrything inside out its great-I'm so proud of him!

OMG If I lived near you(where are you located) I would come apply at your police station! I wouldn't mind doing that kind of work either.. I have alot of interest in the emergency services of course mainly being around it with my boyfriend :)
