What does Early Entry really mean?

Hi,

Hope you can help! Does early entry to the park mean that you can go in early and browse shops etc only, or do they actually start Olivanders show early? What about Forbidden Journey? Do they start the rides early for the early entries, or we stand in line till the reg park opens?


From everything I read, it suggests that we do Olivanders first then FJ, so I am getting early entry.. but I don't want to spend it standing in line

We didn't see Olivanders (too crowded, even with Early Entry), so I can't vouch for that, but we were on and off FJ before regular park opening.

When we were there for Xmas, IOA opened at 8:00 but we could get in at 7:00 am. Ollivander's was open, the shops and rides also. The only things closed were the TBS and HH Pub next door, which opened later. However, there were carts outside selling Buttetbeer, pastries, fruit, chocolate and coffee.
