what does a zhu zhu pet do?

I realize I am a year behind but I remember watching everyone scrambling for zhu zhu pets last year and DD just wasn't interested so I didn't pay much attention. This year she asked for one for Christmas. What do they do? Do I need accesories to go with them?

My dd's received them last year and my opinion is they are JUNK!!!!! The sets don't stay together, the hamsters always need to be nudged to continue in the path. They can never get out of the wheel and the list goes on. I don't know of the quality of the Furreal Frenzies but that set looks much cuter to me and they have other pets available besides hamsters

Well, check my other thread about where my hamsters have gone and I can tell you one thing zhu zhu pets WILL NOT do! Hide between your walls!

DD decided at the last minute last year that she HAD to have Zhu Zhu pets. And it is one thing that she does play with frequently, so I'm very glad that Santa was able to find some in the back of his workshop!

They basically just scurry around either on bare floors or in their play sets. The Furry Frienzies do look much cuter (we have one of those as well and I think Santa may be planning on bringing a couple more). Either way, they really don't "DO" much of anything.

If there is a Justice store near you, they are running 40% off the entire store and they carry Zhu Zhu. I recently lucked up on a super sale where they were already reduced and then got another 40% off. Probably have a deal like that this weekend!!

Ours ran around and entertained for about 2 weeks and then they sat up home base in the bottom of our toy box. I wish I would not have allowed myself to get sucked into the trend last year.

JUNK!!! The pieces do not stay together, and one of the Zhu Zhu pets broke within the first hour....don't waste your money
