What does “special ticketed event” mean?

on our first day at MK (nov 18), next to the hours it says the park opens at 9am but there is a “special ticketed event” from 7:45-9. What could this mean? It’s not extra magic hours bc those are labeled as such elsewhere. I’m making fast pass tomorrow and part of my strategy is to rope drops a couple of rides. Will a special ticketed event mean the rides like Peter Pan, etc be busy at 9am since people will be in the park for whatever event that is?

No.

It means that MK will not be opening at 8 o'clock like it always is Thanksgiving week and that makes me unhappy.

EMM is only done 2 days a week. Look for other days that week to be 8am

Means you're about to consider spending more money after you investigate more.

Lol! I did but it’s booked already! I can’t believe I’ve been researching this trip for a year and had no idea a EMM could pop up mysteriously and sell out before I even know about it! So annoyed.

If you are considering it, call to try booking. Also, keep checking, I believe it is "cancel-able" up to x days before, so ppl can and might cancel.
I called when I couldn't book online, and the cm booked it for me.

Access to EMM is limited to a relatively small number of guests and therefore, I found, didn’t have a dramatic impact on the rope drop experience. Very different than EMH.
