Looking for recomendations:

Seafood AND
NON-Seafood Entrees

And Dessert, too.

Thanks.

I had an excellent steak at Coral Reef. Excellent!

I know that the chocolate wave is popular, but I didn't care for it. The brandied fruit was a bit too overpowering, and I'm not opposed to alcohol in general but I thought that the flavoring was off. JMHO. Many other people do like that dessert and you might want to give it a try since Coral Reef is the only place you can try it.

we are going for lunch this year and I am having the lobster ravioli. DH will probaly get the steak.

I had the Mahi Mahi and it was excellent. Husband had the steak and said it was good. Ask to have them leave the cherries off of the Wave. That is what I did and it was fabulous!!

The steak is great!:cheer2: And, don't forget the chocolate wave for desert!:rotfl:

The Shrimp and Saffron Rice appetizer was excellent.
The Tilapia entree was pretty good.
I would avoid the Ceasar salad (plain, chicken, or shrimp). The dressing was disgusting and it looked like yellow mayo.

Lobster Ravoli was good, but I thought the Crab Cake appetizer was the best part of the meal!

I've never had anything at Coral Reef other than seafood, but I've liked all that I've had. The mahi-mahi and tilapia meals are very good. On my last visit, I had salmon and orecchiette with leek fondue and it was phenomenal. I do miss the catfish dish that they used to make. Our server told us during our recent visit that Chef Marco's decision to pull that dish is the source of much disappointment and that he hasn't given a reason for it, but that Disney no longer farms catfish, so finding an acceptable source for the fish might have been Chef Marco's problem. Rumor is that it will return seasonally, so if you like catfish and it's on the menu when you're there, I wouldn't hesitate to order it.

As for desserts, the boyfriend and I always order the same things: the Chocolate Wave for him, butterscotch crème brûlée for me. There are other things on the dessert menu that we feel we would like, but we can never resist the temptation of our old favorites.

The steak is great, it's the only thing I've ever had there and the Wave has changed they no longer have the cherries, it's not as good as it used to be. My son had the Baileys & Jack Daniels Mousse, he loved it.

I had the blackened catfish over pepperjack grits. It was awesome. It's still on the allears menu so maybe it's back? My DH and DD had lobster ravioli and both enjoyed it.

We've gone several times to Coral Reef and ordered different dishes and never had a bad meal. Like others have said, the steak is great there, as is any fish dish and the Crabcake appetizer is my favorite (since they took the Shrimp Cocktail off the menu). As for desserts, the Wave is very popular, but I LOVED the Bailey's & Jack Daniels Mousse...surprisingly yummy! :lovestruc

Don't get the lasagna!!!! Please don't!!! It was an inedible hard and crunchy thing!

My chicken caesar salad was good, but I asked for it with no dressing and only lemon wedges. I am glad I did now reading the description of the yucky dressing in the post above!

My kids gave their kids pizza two thumbs DOWN.

Maggie

DH and I both had pan-seared grouper on our last trip and it was fantastic. The butterscotch creme brulee was pretty good, but DH's chocolate mousse was yummy!
