Well it's that time of year again. If your kids are like mine, as soon as the new school uniform arrives, so does the Christmas List. As my DD's are 13 and 11, I'm lucky enough not to have to go 'toy' shopping anymore, so last Christmas was the last time I had to look at those ugly Bratz dolls. Anyway this year they both want a MP3 player where they can download all the music from the Internet. I-Pods are too expensive, but I'm sure we'll find something a bit cheaper. DD 13 also wants the Friends Series 10 boxset (as she has every episode on video or dvd) and DD 11 wants a kids sewing machine. Other than that they're after calendars, books and hopefully some $$ for our trip next year.

So what are your kids after, and what is the big 'thing' for this year ?

Happy Christmas Shopping !!!

I think it`s quite sad that I can`t shop for toy`s any more I have 3 boy`s the two eldest wan`t clothes and console games youngest is into Warhammer (yuk) some mostly wants stuff to do with that :Pinkbounc

I’ve already started buying my two some bits and pieces. My oldest who is 11 started senior school in Sept and every day since has bemoaned about how she is the only person in the whole school that doesn’t have a mobile yet and how she really, really needs one and how not having one is ruining her life:rolleyes:. We keep telling her she’s too young and have promised we’ll get her one for her 12th birthday in June, you can imagine her response to that! But, a big but, I have actually relented and bought her one last week for her Christmas so she’s in for a big surprise;). Other than that she hasn’t asked for anything and never usually does. Unlike the little one who’ll be 5 the week before Christmas, every advert that comes on showing children’s toys it’s “can I have that for my birthday/Christmas”. We’ve bought her, amongst other things, a toy camera that actually takes real pictures and as she loves being David Bailey I think she’ll really like this.

I just love Christmas, just thinking about it gets me all excited! :teeth:

Well DD thinks Mummy & Daddy are Banks, as she seems to point, and see anything and say "I want that for Christmas" even the most useless of things...

She does want a play house for in the garden, and Playstation games, and so far the list goes on and on!!....We have agreed on the playhouse so far! ;)

My kids are older too Mandy...my youngest DD (11) was into Bratz last year too, she got loads of the things. Thankfully I am not having to buy them again this year.

This year they both want mini Ipods.
My eldest DD (18) will not wait until Chirstmas for hers, so she will probably buy hers when we are in FL...
The youngest has no choice but to wait, she also wants a new mobile phone as she doesnt like the one she has now.

We've decided for the main present, they will both get money and they will get a few stocking fillers to open on Christmas morning.

Erin (5) wants "lots of Minnie Mouses ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo" (and believe me, the number she has in mind may mean we have to re-mortgage ;))

Amber (8) is less ambitious and wants "Figment on a stick"  which she tells me you can buy at JIYI. Hopefully we will know what it is when we see it:rolleyes:

Now my Christmas wish list is longer.....

My youngest DD wants a new bike :)

Eldest wants an MP3 player and New Look vouchers :)

My two Ds's 5 and 6, have hardly mentioned what they want fo Christmas.
With them being so close in age (only 10 months apart.......;) )they tend to want the same things, although DS 6 is obsessed with Yu gi OH cards at the moment.
I think a GameBoy Advance SP may be an option - but do I need to buy two? can't they share?

What do I want.......? I have my wee list...............

DD is 3 and again every advert she sees on the telly is i wan't that, i wan't that. She keeps asking for a Doll called baby Lucy that cry and laughs and moves i had never heard of it till i wen't on toys r us site yesterday and there it was 39.99 for a doll:rolleyes: She would like more disney princess things but were running out of things to buy We've got her Pocahontas as thats one of the only ones she doesn't have. Snowhwite on a horse. (shes already got a snow white) Cinderellas carriage and horse. My little ponys and a dressing up outfit. But her list just goes on and on:o

Now for me I would like a Disney Snowglobe:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We have kindly explained to DD, 4, that Santa will have a VERY long way to travel in his sleigh this year to see her, so all her choices will have to be SMALL (did I mention we are spending Christmas in Florida :teeth: just checking!). This has worked remarkably well and although she looks longingly at the Sylvanian Familes Windmill and Canal boat, she sighs wistfully and says its a shame that Santa doesnt have a bigger sleigh!

She has settled on some costumes from WDW and a few other small items from home. She is very into Thomas the Tank Engine and is collecting all the wooden trains...at £15 a pop, it is a collection that will build SLOWLY! As they are small, I will take a few to Florida to open on Christmas morning. Relatives will be dished out the list with big items so they can be opened when we return.

DS, 2, isnt into toys....yet! He does like plushes, so Im sure his collection will be expanded at WDW!

My daughter (10) wants a tv for her bedroom.#
A new Netto store just opened down the road and I managed to get a 14inch portable with teletext for £50.
Just got to carry on with the pretence now that this tv which I brought home today is really for my mother's bedroom and try to find somewhere to hide it!!!

My dd 10 wants video now. Some sort of dvd player, you can only purchase their brand videos to play on it. Ds 13 is still unknown. ds 16 IPOD.

For those of you buying ipods check out this web site for ipod bits and pieces:

squitty - got the mini ipod a few weeks ago in florida at the apple shop in millenia mall - worked out about 140 pounds! There was only $50 price difference between the ipod and the mini ipod but got the mini as I think it looks cute!
