What do you wear at the parks?

It depends on the time of year, but I ALWAYS bring a jacket if I'm going to be there late--even in August. It's not humid, so the nights can get real cool. In the winter: jeans/sweater (bring poncho for going on water rides); summer: capris or cargo shorts/t-shirt. On my feet I NEVER wear athletic shoes. They're made for walking/running not for standing, which, face it, we do more of while at Disney parks. I used to wear athletic shoes and found my feet always hurt by the end of the day. Now I wear shoes with a thick, cushy soul and my feet are fine. Winter: thick soled clogs; Summer: Rainbow flipflops

I'm on my way tomorrow, and I still haven't packed! I'm taking several pairs of capris, a couple of pairs of walking shorts, some jeans, a whole bunch of t-shirts and my Nike gel flip flops, they're awesome. I'll decide what to wear each morning, depending on the weather. I'm not taking any ears with me, but I will probably be hitting up DTD on my way in, so I might have to purchase some while there. I don't carry much, just my small camera bag with my tickets and cash in it. If I get cold I can run back to the hotel and change or grab a sweater. I have the best ever villains zip up hoodie that will be getting lots of use in the evenings, I suspect.

I'm exposing my brilliant white anti Utah tan to the people of California. Sorry people! I've had a hard time deciding what to wear because my jean bermuda length shorts are my top pic..as denim washes easily. But once those get wet..can we say annoying?

Hmmmmmmmmm

My number one rule, NEVER wear shoes and socks to the park. And if you do, you better bring an extra pair of both! I always wear (depending on what time of the year Im there, usually mid May-Sept) cargo shorts a Tshirt and flip flops. That way if you happen to ride something your going to get wet on your not trying to ring out your socks.

and I cannot wear flip flops in the parks unless I want to spend the next day in bed because I can't walk. But the tennis shoes I do wear are made from mesh so they dry easily and my socks are thin so they also dry easily. :)

A related question (for the ladies out there) what do you wear if you actually want to look good in pictures? I make these super-cute outfits for my girls, but I always end up in jeans and a t-shirt. Is there anyway for us ladies to look nice, cute, not goofy, and still be able to handle the parks all day?

I'm usually in jeans and tank tops, or jeans and tee shirts, or capris and tees/tanks. I still feel like I look cute. Oh and my tennis shoes..... ;)

Get some cotton capris or bermuda shorts. :)

The most comfortable walking shoes/sneakers that I own!!
Shorts/tank top in the summer, jean and tee-shirt in the fall, and there is always a jacket packed year round.

I lovmy Teva mush flip flops for summer & my New Balance walking shoes for cooler weather. Though being from Seattle area anything above 65 is summer weather! So I usually end up starting the day in either the flip flops or tennis shoes & I will just switch back & forth.

My other piece of advice besides good shoes is to dress in layers. I like to keep my wardrobe simple while on vacation so it's easy to mix & match & yes, layer. To stay looking like the hot young Momma that I am (while rocking my sensible shoes) I always pay extra attention to my hair & makeup. It really makes a difference in pictures & I'm not too shallow to admit that I want to look good in those pictures!!:rolleyes1
