What do you wear at Disney?

I usually wear solid colors- easier to mix and match. I have never worn Disney clothing in WDW because I thought it was too cliche- like wearing a Metallica shirt to a Metallica concert. I never thought about doing the sports team thing. I love NY Mets, DBF loves BoSox- that could start up some conversations. I bet we would get a lot of "well, at least you're not Yankees fans":lmao:

I wear my Michigan T-shirts or Traverse City shirts because they are good conversation pieces when in line. However, last summer I spent a bit of money on about 4 or 5 Disney tees and tank tops that I wore in the parks and funny thing? They were more of a conversation starter with others, esp women asking "where did you get that cute tank top?" in which I would then point to the store near the attraction we were at, lol. Now I can bring these shirts with us in March when we go back. yayy!!!!! OH and I can't forget my comfy Teva sandals, total comfort all day long!

i have the cutest mickey mouse crocs that i really want to wear to MK, but i'm worried my feet won't be too happy with the idea. crocs are comfy, but i'm not sure about 12 hours of them! anybody ever wore crocs for an entire day of walking around at one of the parks?

Crocs are the only footwear I wear at Disney. I have a black Beach pair, and I call them my 'treadless wonders', as I've walked the treads right off of them by all the park-hopping! I had to invest in a new black pair - the Disney Crocs, of course!

thanks! i love my crocs....i've just never wore them for a day of walking at a theme park. wasn't sure if they were as comfy after 12 hours. now i know what i'm wearing!!!

My black Mickey Crocs with socks, jeans or jean capris, white T shirt and a cardigan wrapped at the waist in case it gets cold...we tend to stay at DVC so we have a washer/dryer in the room.

This worked really well when we were there over Xmas...My DS8 asked me why I was wearing the same shirt all the time...try explaining that a white T goes with everything so I brought 5 to an 8 yr old boy! :)

I brought too much but next time, I will bring (in winter months): 1 pair of jeans, 1 capri, 1 short, 3 white Ts and 3 cardigans...and the undergarments and bathing suit of course. I the warmer months: 2 pair of shorts and 2 pair of capris...

I tend to overpack, so I would suggest to put your outfits together ahead of time. By doing this, you leave more time for the Disney experience and less time getting ready. It's always nice to wear Disney regalia and you can get some very classy low key wear at the Disney Store with small designs.
I always try to wear nicer clothes on the days I won't have time to change before dinner. It's good to pack a variety of clothing for every occasion and to pack some sweaters because the nights can get cold. Always pack an extra outfit or two for those summer trips, when the sweat factor is there.

I constantly check the Disney Store for sales. If a shirt comes in that I love and I am afraid they may not have it by sale time I will go ahead and pay the $12.50 or if I can find another I really like get 2 for $20. That seems to be their regular price. However in the summer, I got enough shirts for a family of four to wear a disney shirt everyday of the 6 day trip and only paid $4.00 a piece. Now that we are home, these practically new shirts are being put away for the next trip.

I had several people come up to me and ask where I got my shirts and they all came from The Disney Store.

I usually wear non Disney - some cute shorts and a tank top or a sundress.
I usually carry a Disney bag though.

This thread reminds me of the funniest shirt I saw last time I was at WDW (over MLK weekend). It was in line for IASW. There was a guy in line ahead of us that had a shirt that said "I don't give a" and then had a picture of a rat leading a donkey by a string. Takes a second to get the joke, but I thought it was really funny! I wanted to ask where he got it but he was too far ahead of me in line.

I don't own much Disney related clothes in the first place, so I usually just dress regular :). However all my purses are Disney related so I do have a little something with me lol.

I have a collection of Disney theme park related Hawaiian shirts. Over a dozen now. The Disneyland 50th produced a bundle of shirts by the artist Shag. Others include old Tiki room shirts.

I plan to wear some Disney stuff, but also some PENN STATE stuff to see if any other Penn Staters gimme the old "We Are!" to which I'll answer "PENN STATE!!!"

:thumbsup2

I don't own any disney related clothing, although I don't know if I would wear it at the parks even if I did.

I just wear jeans or shorts and a t-shirt (usually hockey related). When I was there during Christmas week in 2004 I was wearing a team Canada Yzerman t-shirt and another guest on the bus to MGM started a "Let's go Red Wings" chant. It was great...this also happened to be the night that Yzerman himself happened to be at ESPN, which was a HUGE surprise and thrill for me (although the rest of the people in my party were not so thrilled to wait a million years to get in to watch the broadcast, but I was thrilled!)
