What do you watch on Christmas Day?

We watched the Westminster Dog Show most of the day. We recorded the WDW Christmas parade which I fast forwarded through most of since they didn't show a lot of the actual parade. I watched some Utube later on and that was it. Watched Wizard of Oz last night.

A Christmas Story.

We watched It's a Wonderful Life, our favorite (especially 20 yr old DS).
We wanted to bounce back & forth to ACSTory but as soon as we turned it on it had
a commercial for the Exorcist!! What the heck?? It was around 12:30 in the afternoon!
I was so angry :headache:.
Even though ACStory isn't really for young children,
there are many households that have it on all day, with all ages present.
And I'm not a kid and I did not want to see that commercial.

A tv was on as background noise during food preparation. It was tuned into March of the Wooden Soldiers, and then A Christmas Story. But I didn’t really get to fully watch and enjoy either. And after reading other comments I just realized I haven’t seen It’s a Wonderful Life so far this season.

I agree that commercials should be better matched to the potential audiences of the shows they air during. I've seen similar examples of bad choices, and this one should obviously not have been placed where it was.

Right now, Elf is on. Earlier today was Home Alone 2. I didn't watch either of these; too busy cooking, cleaning, etc. When I did have some "sit down" time, I took my new book upstairs, put my feet up, and read.
We have never seen Elf. I’ve seen every hallmark movie that has a snippet of holly thus tada…..Christmas movie. DH said we should watch Elf. Maybe after grandkids go home.

If you can't see the beauty and peace of the holidays in The Exorcist, then you really need to expand your horizons.

If the unmoderated board ever happens, I think demon possession from a religious perspective and an atheist perspective would make a great thread for discussion.

It got close for a while there, Buzz. I thought the Eagles were going to blow it again.
Good luck in the playoffs. Even Philadelphia's MLS team is currently better than NYCFC (Philadelphia qualified for the Concacaf Champions League, just an FYI). Oh well, at least the NY Rangers are currently better than the Flyers at the moment (I'm praying I didn't jinx it).

I hadn't thought about that, but I suppose you're correct. That could be unique. I'm curious as to how a non-Jesuit would've handled Regan in the original movie. (Despite my fervent atheism, I love the Jesuits)
As a NY Giants fan, that game yesterday still hurts.
Sorry about that. I watched it. It was a rough one.

We generally don't turn the TV on at all, but this year we made an exception because the Eagles were playing.

Another less than impressive victory. The Iggles are gonna get shellacked in their first playoff game whoever they play.
