A Christmas Story.
A Christmas Story.
I agree that commercials should be better matched to the potential audiences of the shows they air during. I've seen similar examples of bad choices, and this one should obviously not have been placed where it was.We watched It's a Wonderful Life, our favorite (especially 20 yr old DS).
We wanted to bounce back & forth to ACSTory but as soon as we turned it on it had
a commercial for the Exorcist!! What the heck?? It was around 12:30 in the afternoon!
I was so angry.
Even though ACStory isn't really for young children,
there are many households that have it on all day, with all ages present.
And I'm not a kid and I did not want to see that commercial.
We have never seen Elf. I’ve seen every hallmark movie that has a snippet of holly thus tada…..Christmas movie. DH said we should watch Elf. Maybe after grandkids go home.Right now, Elf is on. Earlier today was Home Alone 2. I didn't watch either of these; too busy cooking, cleaning, etc. When I did have some "sit down" time, I took my new book upstairs, put my feet up, and read.
Elf is an American classic with a great cast.We have never seen Elf. I’ve seen every hallmark movie that has a snippet of holly thus tada…..Christmas movie. DH said we should watch Elf. Maybe after grandkids go home.
I haven't seen Elf either, simply because I know how Will Farrell is with fans and I just can't get past it. lolElf is an American classic with a great cast.
If you can't see the beauty and peace of the holidays in The Exorcist, then you really need to expand your horizons. We watched It's a Wonderful Life, our favorite (especially 20 yr old DS).

If the unmoderated board ever happens, I think demon possession from a religious perspective and an atheist perspective would make a great thread for discussion. If you can't see the beauty and peace of the holidays in The Exorcist, then you really need to expand your horizons.
As a NY Giants fan, that game yesterday still hurts. We generally don't turn the TV on at all, but this year we made an exception because the Eagles were playing.
It got close for a while there, Buzz. I thought the Eagles were going to blow it again. As a NY Giants fan, that game yesterday still hurts.
Good luck in the playoffs. Even Philadelphia's MLS team is currently better than NYCFC (Philadelphia qualified for the Concacaf Champions League, just an FYI). Oh well, at least the NY Rangers are currently better than the Flyers at the moment (I'm praying I didn't jinx it).It got close for a while there, Buzz. I thought the Eagles were going to blow it again.
I hadn't thought about that, but I suppose you're correct. That could be unique. I'm curious as to how a non-Jesuit would've handled Regan in the original movie. (Despite my fervent atheism, I love the Jesuits)If the unmoderated board ever happens, I think demon possession from a religious perspective and an atheist perspective would make a great thread for discussion.
Sorry about that. I watched it. It was a rough one.As a NY Giants fan, that game yesterday still hurts.

Another less than impressive victory. The Iggles are gonna get shellacked in their first playoff game whoever they play.It got close for a while there, Buzz. I thought the Eagles were going to blow it again.
