What Do YOU Want For Christmas?

I have a hard time coming up with one or two things--that is quite a list.

We know we won't get everything on our lists so she likes for the lists to be LONG so she has plenty of things to choose from. She gets upset if the lists are too short.

Really? There's nothing terribly expensive on that list. I could (and do!) come up with that much stuff easily!!

I have to make lists for my brother and my children. My brother and I exchange a substantial number of gifts - we are both single and for many years we have followed the traditions from our childhood and "made Christmas happen" for each other. I have also watched my children enjoy shopping for me and giving me gifts. I make my list and give then some money and they get to choose and also - now that they are old enough - surprise me with other things they know I would like.

What's on my list this year?

A few books that don't come in Kindle format.
A Martha Stewart enameled cast iron Dutch oven
An iPod docking station/speakers
Apple TV
Replacements for some china and stainless flatware
Some decorative accessories for my house/kitchen
small kitchen items - spatulas, hotpads, etc.
placemats
nice bath products
makeup travel bag

I'm sure I'll come up with a few more ideas!!! I love getting Christmas presents.:goodvibes

Thank you!!!!

What do I really want?
A solo trip to Disney as a combo 30th birthday (12/6), anniversay (12/21), and Christmas gift.
What am I asking for?
kitchen tongs and spatulas (couple of years ago, all I wanted was some new kitchen towels and oven mitts - I got a stationary set :headache:)

What will I most likely get?
gift cards to restaurants...

You want to get away alone as an anniversary gift? :confused3

I have no idea what I want for Christmas. Neither DBF or I know. DD wants an Xbox 360 though. She's the only one that knows what she wants and it is only the xbox, rockband and call of duty.

1. December holds ALL of my milestones and Christmas. It's just easier to lump it all together - more bang for my buck as one would say. If we buy each other separate gifts (me for him, him for me) anyway why would asking for a solo trip be a bad thing?

2. Plus, I never said I wanted to be gone for my anniversary! I just want a trip, by myself, sometime.

3. Besides, who doesn't want to leave a spouse behind at times?? :confused3

I want an hour long massage. Can I have it right now?

I hope everyone gets something they wish for, especially Hercamore, and others in similar situations. :grouphug:

Ahh, that makes sense. I thought you wanted to be gone for your anniversary. lol

I have had my eye on a watch for a couple of months now. There is also a ring I saw recently that I would like to have. And if Santa really thought I was a good girl, I would appreciate it if he would bring me an Ipod Touch

I'm another "really don't want anything" person.. As far as I'm concerned, if people feel as though they want to give me a gift, they need go no further than the Dollar Stores.. Between all the name brand scrapbook supplies; lined journals in all shapes and sizes; cookbooks; etc., they could easily find things that I want and/or need right there..

If they "must" shop elsewhere, they know that books are always a good choice and DVD series of past television shows..

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that my Dson-in-law (who always buys me a Christmas gift specifically just from him) might be considering the purchase of a new flat screen tv for me for up here at the lake..:headache: (Right now I just have a regular 13" color tv here in the kitchen/living room area and the day after we were talking about the smallest size flat screen tv's currently available, I caught him "measuring" the area where my tv is now.. He tried to say he was measuring the area for a "shelf", but there's no room there for a shelf.. LOL..) I love the idea that he would do that for me, but I'd rather see him spend that extra money on my DD and DGD.. This tv is still working fine (knock on wood) so there's really no reason to buy a new one..

Shoot - I'd be happy with a dozen cheap pens that actually write halfway decent (fussy, fussy about my pens) and college-ruled lined 3 to 5 subject notebooks..LOL..:rotfl:

Oh my gosh!! You may have just helped me figure out what to get my youngest DD.. Not only is she a Mickey fanatic, but this is something she really does need!!

Thanks so much for posting that.. One "Wow" gift accomplished..
:yay::yay::yay::yay::santa:

Yay! I'm so glad I could help. :)

I like stuff, but I'm moving across the country for school after Christmas, so I need to be getting rid of most of my stuff. XD

Though I would not mind a couple of bettas from aquabid as a late Christmas present to myself. Hmm, and maybe a couple nice 3-5 gallon aquariums for them... :cool1:

I do not really need anything this christmas. The issue is what am I going to get for everyone else!

I want a pair of gray uggs and the entire book collection of harry potter books in the nice little trunk that I saw at Borders. DH thinks I'm nuts and says we should buy the books for the kids, but I said I'd share with them. haha

Hercamore, sending hugs and prayers for your DB and all your family. :grouphug:

Honestly, I'm good to go, don't need anything, with exception of our family being together to make the hoidlays even more special. That's always gift enough for me! :lovestruc

I would much rather give than receive, however, our kids are full of surprises and have the habit of spoiling us. :goodvibes

I want a renewal of my People and Entertainment Weekly magazine subscriptions
The Unofficial Harry Potter cookbook
the Harry Potter scrapbook kit
a bunch of DVDs - Dear John, The Last Song, The Sound of Music, Man on Fire, Letters to Juliet

I always love books, and I ask for Barnes and Noble gift cards every year and usually get a ton, DBF usually defaults to that for his gifts haha

I would like Epic Mickey, I got that idea from many of you on here, thanks!

Same things I asked for last year: maybe a few books and some TV shows on DVD and some iTunes cards but that's basically it.

there's only one thing in this world i want for Christmas: a job.

there's a possibility i'll get called for a 2nd interview for a job tomorrow or friday. I WANT THIS JOB! it's perfect for me, and i would be perfect for it. it's a part-time (3 days a week) medical secretary job, and the pay is great-much more than i've ever earned before. i want it!

that's all i want. just the job. please santa, give me this job for Christmas. i've been a very good girl, i promise.
