DBF and I just got back from our first land and sea trip on May 26th and I am ALREADY itching to get back to The World and DBF wants to do another cruise (I wish we had decided this onboard!). So, now it is a matter of deciding when and which type of trip to do. We know we want to do land and sea again but I want to know which you DISers think is better - the 3 and 4 night combo or the 4 and 3 night combo? Explanations of opinions would be great!!! TIA.

I have never done the land and sea, but, personally, I don't see how you could do everything on the ship that you want to do in 3 days. It makes much more sense to me to do 4 days cruising and you could even add a day to your land portion. We found that at 7 days, we were just getting comfortable.... We are looking forward to the 14 day repo, and feeling like we have had ENOUGH and are ready to go home...... =) I don't know if that's possible, but, I'm looking forward to finding out! :flower:

We did the 3 day land 4 day sea at the first of May and truly enjoyed ourselves also. Like you we agree that we didn't have enough time to do everything and want to go back. The new park tickets with the pkg are 7 day park hoppers and are sent to you with your documents (so I have been told). So we were thinking of going 4 nights early and really taking advantage of the tickets. I don't think a 3 day cruise is long enough, heck 4 days wasn't long enough!!

All said, I say go for 3 day land 4 day sea and add days to the land portion.

We have done the land and sea twice and love it. The first one was 3 land 4 sea. And the second one we booked everything seperatly. We wanted 4 and 4. It worked out great and cost less in the long run. I think the 3 day would be too short. But hey at least it's a few days on the Wonder!

Last November we did 3 land / 4 sea. However, I booked the reservations separately.

We wanted to stay at the WL (our favorite resort) and get on the Dream Maker Silver package which we couldnt do with DCL. We had done the parks before and knew what we liked; 3 days was fine. IMHO, 3 nights is NOT enough for a cruise, though. That day at sea is invaluable and really gives you the "cruising" feeling.

definitely book the land and sea separately! It is so much cheaper this way!

Since we feel that anything less than 4 nights on a cruise is too short, and we can't do WDW justice in less than 5 days ;) we tend to book separately. That way we can do a day in WDW, do a 4 night cruise (Sun - Thu) and then 4 days in WDW afterwards (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun) flying home late Sun or early early Mon.

Remember that with the 4land/3sea combo, you will be buying your meals in WDW for 4 days. If you do the 3land/4sea combo, you've already paid for your 4 days of meals on the ship before you board it. My preference is 4 days of the outstanding ship food over 4 days of WDW food.

Like others have said...you should REALLY look into booking them separate...cost wise...it can be much less and your able to costomize your trip even more. Were doing a 7 night cruise in October...but also added on a few days at WDW before the cruise. We did a 7 night for our first cruise...and I can't imagine cutting back to a 3 or 4 night....the 7 night was far to short IMO.
