It's regarding the bird flu. This stuff is scary! My DH is pretty wigged, which kind of causes me to want to wig out. At what point should we become concerned at make some plans? Are we at that point now? Approaching it? Please give your opinions.

No human cases of bird flu have been found there to date. It is just the H5 strain found in the birds.

haven't looked at the site yet - but we are a bit concerned 'cause dh works for a business that sells chicken so that's our only income...so that's what concerns us.

As far as getting it - I'm just not so sure..I think back t0 the big Y2k scare that everone had & it came to nothing....

BUt there's really nothing we can do about it - I know they are working as hard as they can on a vaccine....

I just know this is a Biblical that there will be disaeses in the final days (as well as a host of other things like natural disasters) that are the signs of the beginning of the days before Jesus returns...

We all should be concerned with the bird flu--but after it changes into a form that can be spread human to human and not bird to human, that will be when the real problem is. I have stocked my freezer with chicken---vacuum sealed and frozen just incase this thing turns bad here at home. I do think it will have an inpact on the chicken industry here in the US, just as Mad Cow has an impact on beef prices. I do not believe this is one of the end time events as suggested by the one previous poster, but then again I don't think anyone knows for sure. Just something to think about on those lines thou that struck me the other day----on June 6 this year it will be 06-06-06

I have a lot of concern and compassion for the areas struggling with this, but there is a huge difference in the living conditions of many of those areas and how we live in the US. I will continue to watch it, but I am not concerned for my own safety.
