What do you think the pay should be?

My daughter is babysitting for someone with 1 child. Their sister also left her two kids for my daughter to babysit. Both families are paying separately. They need her for 9 hours.

How much $$$ would you expect her to make?

ETA The child she normally babysits for is older, like 9. I don't know the ages of the two new children, but I assume they are older and potty trained.

Age of the children REALLY factors in. As does the length of the job. Is this a one day thing or repeating?

One day and assuming none of the kids are potty trained, I'd say $200. Five to eleven year olds, $150?

$200-300.

Did the mother's sister just spring these two new children on her without notice? Or are they asking her if she is available and want to know what she charges?

Why? It’s a full day with 3 young children. But I guess you’d pay based on service, right?
Well, actually YES, it would depend on the "service." As I said above a lot would depend on the age of the daughter and when the sitting is occurring and of course what is expected. You also need to take into account that my children are 28 & 26 and I never paid for a "sitter." So I have NO CLUE what the going rate for say a 14yo to watch 3 kids for an evening, while they are sleeping half the time.
