We will be visiting WDW this Oct/Nov, and we will be using the MYW package dining plan. We have never done much in the way of table service dining- mostly because of budget and time issues. We are looking forward to sitting down to dinner each night, but haven't tried too many of Disney's dining offerings.

Here's the itinerary we came up with- does it sound good to you? It will be me, DH, and DD7. Are there any places we picked that you'd steer clear of? Thanks! BTW, these are all dinnertime meals.

Day 1 (Sat.)- Rose & Crown

Day 2 (Sun.)- Sci Fi Diner

Day 3 (Mon.)- 'Ohana

Day 4 (Tues.)- Boma

Day 5 (Wed.)- CRT

Day 6 (Thur.)- Akershus

We have eaten at all of them except Rose & Crown and Akershus. They were all fantastic! We are going back to Sci-Fi, Ohana, and CRT in March.

I would do Le Cellier instead of Rose and Crown. Also not too sure about Akerhus, as I have never been there.

Boma and Ohana are good !

Also consider Kona Cafe at Poly... had a GREAT meal there last week.

We have done Sci-Fi, Ohana (twice for breakfast, once for dinner), and CRT for breakfast and loved them all (especially Ohana!!!). I think they are great choices. I have not done the other three you had listed, but have read great things about Rose and Crown and Boma.

I know this is not one of your choices, but I would also highly recommend Chef Mickey's for dinner. They have a good buffet and great character interaction.

Just an FYI ... Le Cellier would be 2 table service credits per person

We have been to all except CRT (just can't see the huge draw of this place!) and the only place we didn't enjoy was Boma - but that is just our taste buds! The restaurant is beautiful, the CMs are darling, but the food was just too different for us. You may like it though - and if they have the coconut tiramasu on the dessert pod, grab some. Yum!

Have a great trip!

LOve Ohana's!!! We just ate there and caought the Wishes show. they pipe in the music! It was fun to enjoy drinks and dinner and not worry about someone blocking my view! I can't recommend Ohana's enough. Cape May Cafe is great, too! What about 1900 PF?

Hmmm, not sure about sci-fi for dinner. The food's just not that wonderful. How about for lunch instead?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

Kev- We don't want to do any Signature dining this trip- otherwise, Le Cellier sounds fabulous. Akershus sounds interesting- mainly we are going for DD. She wants to see Princesses, but she's not really into Cinderella. She likes Belle, Aurora, and Ariel better.

Kim- We'd love to try Chef Mickey- just couldn't fit it into the schedule this trip. DD wants her Character meal to be with the Princesses. Hopefully next time we can make it to Chef Mickey's!

Harambe- We are all adventurous eaters, and we really want to check out AKL, so think Boma will be worth a try. We don't get to stay at Deluxes, so we like to hit restaurants at them to get a taste of the atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing the Lodge and seeing some animals, too.

nbandfour- We can't really agree on another MGM restaurant- DH isn't really a "play along" type of guy, so Prime Time is out. And neither of us is interested in Hollywood & Vine. Mama Melrose might be an alternative, but we really like the theming of Sci Fi. We want to do dinners mainly to get the most out of the meal plan.

Thanks for the suggestions- wish we could afford to stay another week, just so we could get to more places to eat! :teeth:
