Cruise experts! What do you think of the 3 day land/4 day cruise package that includes the Swan or Dolphin? have any of you booked this? What types of rooms etc? I have sent a request to DU but have not heard back yet. Thanks in advance for your responses. Lisa

we thought it was great - but it depends on what you want to do - we don't like to go to nassau - so we spend the day on ship - and this way we get two days to enjoy the ship - but for those who like off-ship activities - the extra day at sea may be too boring - it's really what you want to take from ship activities or off-ship activities -

We are not experienced cruisers, but did the land and sea package last Dec (stayed at the Poly) and really enjoyed it. We spent 4 days at the park, and felt we had ample time to run around and enjoy the MK and the other parks. On our last "land" day, we went to the AK. I do wish we had gotten there a bit earlier (we took our time having breakfast and leaving the Poly). We were kind of rushed.

The "sea" part went quickly. However, we didn't schedule any special activities like Palo or the spa. . . . just relaxed around the pool and enjoyed the food and service. DS 5 had a great time in the club.

We did a glass bottom boat excursion in Nassua, which I don't recommend. I am sure there are lots of great things to do there. However, on our next land and sea trip (Feb '04) we will stay on the boat, which is significantly less crowded at that time.

Good luck in your plans.

I'm bumping this up so some of you who have booked the Swan land/4 day sea package. This is supposed to be a last minute package avail thru December. 599 for 1st 2 in the room. What do you think? Have you stayed at the Swan? What about cat 11 or 12 on the ship? Help!

I personally found the the split land/sea deal to be too short on both sides. However, for the price that you quoted it seems well worth it.

Have a great trip!

We also found it way to short ...we would never split it up like that again..we will either do Disney or the cruise, not cut one trip in half and do both...the 4 days on the ship go to fast...by the time you are really settled in you are packing to go home!!!

Price wise, I think this is a great deal. We have cruised both the 3 & 4 day the last 4 yrs. The very lowest price in off season (value) for a 3 night has been $419 for a category 11 & 12 and for the 4 day has been $519. These prices are available only on a few cruise dates. Also the $419 is the special price they gave friends & family cruising with those who were booking the $99 special after last Jan cruises. I have followed these prices and they have gone up considerably as the dates get closer. So to get a 4 night cruise for $519 you are getting the lowest available price and the Swan is only costing you the other $80 per person ($160) for the other 3 nights, that's only $53.33 per night. You can't stay on site anywhere for that! Their very lowest rates are $99. per night before or after cruise, or $129 for nurse, teacher, military, etc. These are hard to get sometimes and the regular rates are much more like $225 per nite. The location is great, next to the Boardwalk. If I wasn't already booked I would definitely take advantage of these prices if possible.
