We are planning our second trip for 11/24-11/30/18 and I’m trying to get an idea of how I want to layout our days. It’s myself, husband, nephew(14) and son(4) and we will be on DDP. We have a car and we will be using Minnie Van to get to resort ADRs.

11/24- No TS
11/25- lunch BOG(QS) & Dinner Ohana
11/26- PPO at Garden Grill
Late lunch @ Biergarten
HEA-dessert party
11/27- Whispering Canyon Cafe- late lunch befor MVMCP.
11/28- Fantasmic dining pkg Mama Melrose
11/29- Tusker House Breakfast
11/30- No TS

Sunday 11/25 is a party day and we will be rope dropping at MK and plan to stay til 3:30-4. Should I make our Ohana an early dinner and just monorail over there. Then head back to resort. Or should we head to resort for a break and make a later dinner reservation?

Tuesday 11/27- we want to check out the WL Christmas decorations and have a late lunch at WCC before taking the boat to MK for the Christmas party. It’s shows lunch hours ending at 2:30. Can I make an ADR for 2:30? Do they actually close the restaurant between 2:30-5?

Thanks everyone!

They look fine to me.

Re: 11/25–I would choose a resort break and a later dinner and make it your night out.

Have fun! :)

Lunch at BOG and early dinner at Ohana would put meals rather close together. Instead of MK that day perhaps go to EP or DS and take Monorail to Poly for Ohana in the evening. If you plan it right you can go to the beach at Poly before or after dinner and watch the party's fireworks from there.

I assume you have free dining which also means you have park hoppers. You can make use of them by spending the day at one park and dining at another allowing more flexibility in dinner plans. When dining at Ohana's you can take the monorail or boat to MK to catch a bus back to your resort.

You know your kids better and what they need.
I would vote to go back to the resort, let them swim ,play, rest. Then have a later ADR. Otherwise lunch and dinner are very close together.

Agree with the PP about the 11/25 ADRs, two ADRs close together are time vacuums since you aren't always seated at the ADR time. If you really want BOG, try for another day or breakfast that same day.

I think it’s cutting it close with those dining reservations. Ohana will be a lot of food! I think you would be better off spreading these out.

11/25 - I see no issue at all with BOG for lunch and then Ohana for dinner. However, I would opt for dinner a bit later, both to spread the meal times out a bit and it's also nice to be able to freshen up before dinner. Alternatively, you could go with breakfast at BOG and the early dinner at Ohana (this option may be better if you want to get your 4 yo to bed earlier than you could with a late dinner ADR).

11/27 - you can book an ADR up to the posted closing time of the restaurant. It's actually not the close time, it is just the last ADR time and you won't be rushed at all.

Thanks everyone! Our 4 year old is pretty flexible with time. We are staying at Coronado so I wasn’t sure how much time would be lost by going back to the resort. We talked about taking the monorail over to GF either before or after dinner to look and the Christmas decor also.

The only other reason I thought about an earlier time for Ohana is that on our last trip we waited quite awhile to be seated and it was swarmed with people waiting. I don’t know if it’s always like that or if it was an isolated situation.

I personally recommend staying till 4ish and then doing dinner! Talking about your day can make for great dinner conversation.

May I ask where your staying? Depending on where, it can be hard to go out again!

If you want to keep BOG, book it early 11-11:30 take a break and then go back to Ohana for a later meal

Two all you can eat meals in one day would be too much for me, but maybe you're better at not stuffing yourself to the gills than I am. :P

Also, maybe they can handle the heat better than I can!! I can stuff myself at two meals in one day, but not when a WDW park is involved. Its the same with breakfast buffets.

Well I’m not sure about that but we are only planning one day at Epcot and are having a hard time deciding between both of them We may change and just do snacks around the world that afternoon.

What you might consider doing is the PPO Garden grill and then get a early evening Biergarten Candlelight processional package so you can eat and then go to the CP
