I'm planning our honeymoon, and wanted to include enough "down" time while still enjoying the parks. We've just been to WDW in December, so DF knows that this isn't going to be a "sit on the beach with drinks in your hand" kind of vacation. This is going to be an active vacation, which is just fine with him! But I still want enough time for just the two of us back at the GF. Most days we'll be able to grab a quick breakfast from the concierge lounge, so getting an early start will not be an issue.

He's requested we eat at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Fulton's and do the Fantasmic dinner package at the Brown Derby. I want to go to Cirque and a water park. I also want to try some new restaurants at Epcot that I haven't eaten at before.

Have I made a good balance between enough time in the parks and enough down time? I've tried to make it so that if we get up earlier one morning, we aren't out late the night before, and if we are out late, we can sleep in the next day. What do you think?

Sunday: We stayed the night at a Marriott near O'Hare airport and have a late check-out time, so we can sleep in. Flight leaves at 3:45 PM and is due to land at 7:30 PM. Limo transfer to resort, arrive GF at about 9PM. Check in, light meal if we are hungry. Bedtime!

Monday: MK. Pre-open PS at Crystal Palace, stay at MK all day, dinner at Plaza Restaurant, stay for Wishes. Park closes at 8PM. Head back to GF and go to bed.

Tuesday: Epcot, be there for 9AM opening. Stay all day, lunch and dinner will be in WS, restaurants TBD. Stay for Illuminations. Plark closes at 9, head back to GF.

Wednesday: Resort Day. Sleep in, late breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Spend rest of day at GF pool, or maybe a spa treatment. Dinner at Fulton's and go to 9PM Cirque.

Thursday: Full day at MGM, get to park for 9AM opening time. Fantasmic dinner package at Brown Derby, stay until park closes at 7:30. Head back to GF

Friday: Sleep in a little, head to one of the water parks. Get back to GF for dinner at one of the GF restaurants and to change into our costumes for MNSSHP. Stay at party until midnight.

Saturday: Sleep in, go to DTD and DQ in the afternoon. Dinner at one of the GF restaurants. Go to MK in the evening to see Spectro and Wishes and maybe a ride or two.

Sunday: Check out, store bags with bell stand, and go to AK in time for 8AM opening. Stay until about 3PM. Go back to hotel to pick up bags and wait for limo. Flight leaves at 6:22 PM.

Our last two days are a bit full, but we both don't have to work on Monday, so we'll have a day to recharge before going back to the real world!

WOW!!! After all that fun, you won't want to go back home!!

I like it, because you enjoy alot of WDW, but you are not in full commando mode! :flower:

Yup. Even though we spend full days in the parks (which we enjoy!) we don't run around like mad people, aside from the rope drop stampede to Space Mountain or RnR!

And we don't focus on the plan too much. If we get tired we can always forget "the plan" and head back to the room for a ...um... nap! Yeah, that's it, a nap! ;)

Yes, see the last day on our itinerary, we go before our return flight. Otherwise who would save Big Red from the poachers? ;)

That looks perfect! You guys should have a great time. That's exactly how I would like to do it next time. We were a little too commando this last trip.
