I will not be staying at Grand Floridian for my next trip but was thinking of having dinner at the Grand Floridian cafe. It will be me, DH, DS(11) and DS(9). What do you think of this as a family restaurant? How is the food? My DH loves steak so if anybody tried the steak I would love to hear what you think about it. For another day we will be going to 1900 park fare for dinner. Is it too much to do both for one trip?

TIA,

Loralie

:Pinkbounc for some opinions. I was looking at having dinner here too, but rarely hear anything about it on these boards.

We had two lovely meals there last Summer. We were spending the days at the MK and so it was a lovely short hop away on the monorail, which meant decent food and easy return access to the park.
It was quiet, nice decor, and the food was good. We didn't have steak, but fish, (halibut I think) in a beautiful sauce, and had the great chocolate fondue for desert. It is on our return list for this year.

We've eaten there a few times. Pretty good food. casual atmosphere. Reminds of the Plaza restaurant at the MK. Edited to add that we've only eaten lunch here.
