What do you think is going on? (work related)

I work for a major retail company that is actually holding its own right now. Our company is known for being tight-fisted, so we are not having problems like so many others out there are. My store actually made our sales goal on Black Friday! But something is going on that is making us all a little confused and a little concerned.

For the last month, we have been having weekly "visits" Someone from the regional office comes by and checks us out. Which is not typical, we usually only get a visit every few months or so. We have acutally been doing quite well during these visits. The big wigs are very pleased with our store, and have been scoring us an "A". But not only are they going to continue these weekly visits, but tomorrow the company president will be in.

Any ideas on what might be going on? I'm trying to be positive, and am hoping maybe they might remodel us. Goodness knows we need it! There have also been rumors of a new store being built about 12 miles away, so maybe they are seeing if we are busy enough to warrent another store in the are? We already have 3 others that are all about 10 miles away from us, and they are visiting at least 2 of the other stores as well.

Any thoughts? I'm trying not to worry, but you never know nowadays.
