What do you take into the parks with you and how do you carry it?

What: Wallet, smokes and lighter, phone, tiny Canon camera.

How: Cargo shorts!

I'm actually very specific about my park bag! I really like to bring large tote sized bags since I'm really into the rides I rarely stop back at the hotel and bring everything with me for the entire day.

For my park bag I get a tote sized one that is made out of some sort of plastic and has a zipper, so it can withstand rain and water rides. This is my current one:

I usually bring a hoodie for cold shows/resturants/night time, a portable phone charger, wallet, a small body spray, my D&B cosmetics case with makeup inside, a waterbottle, deodorant, a book sunglasses, and headphones.

The best thing about having a big bag is that as I buy souvenirs throughout the day, I can just pop them in there and don't have to worry about lugging extra bags or them getting wet either.

I guess it depends on if you have kids or not. I'd love to go without carrying anything but now that I'm a mom that just doesnt work out.

I bought a new Vera Bradley Sling Tennis Backpack for our trip and I think it will be perfect.

We carry water, camera, phone, a few snacks (granola bars), spare shirt for the kids, autograph book/pen, sunglasses, chapstick and sunscreen

The stuff I bring into parks is just ridiculous. But I can't tell you how many times it's all come in handy!

Usually I carry a small cross body. It's never that expensive, probably from Target and I wouldn't be mad if it got ruined, which I'm known to do.
- Chapstick
- hand lotion
- small bottle sunscreen
- baby wipes (I have issues with dirty, sticky hands and if I can't get to a sink fast enough...uh oh.)
- sunglasses
- band aids
- travel sized deodorant
- mints/lifesavers some kind of hard candy in case my mouth gets dry waiting in line
- extra hair elastics & bobby pins
- Advil/excedrin migraine/rolaids/Imodium/I am literally a walking pharmacy at all times. Tmi?
- iPhone
- iPhone charger
- small travel sized soft nail file
- Visine for contacts
- roller ball of perfume
- license
- some cash

I am sure I'm missing something. I swear I'm not that crazy lol

I carry a small key ring wallet that holds my DL, ticket, cash and cc. No purse or bag. I breeze thru security while the rest of the guest wait for their searches.
Sometimes I bring a belt ring that holds a bottle of water.
Less means it is easier to get around and stay longer.

My secret is to freeze 2-3 bottles of water overnight and put them into the backpack. Over the course of the day they will melt while keeping your back cool at the same time.

This is such a brilliant idea! I might have to steal this :yay:

Put each water bottle inside a sock to keep them from sweating all over your backpack.

If you're trying to go bag-free, I bought a water bottle at an Orlando Target that has a cover with long handle attached. I freeze water in this and carry strapped across me. When you stop at a CS, ask for free cup of water and refill the bottle.

I take the smallest bag/backpack possible, but have found that if I group things in smaller bags, it's all easier to locate when needed.

I have a fabric zipper-closed wallet (from the China pavilion in Epcot) that holds my license, insurance card, KTTW card (not anymore :worried: ), credit card, and some cash.

I have a slightly larger fabric bag that holds moleskin, small manicure scissors, emery board, small nail trimmer, blister bandaids.

Another fabric bag holds our meds: Some ibuprofen, extra strength tylenol, and alleve in one small prescription bottle. I have 'blister sheets' of some meds so take along 2 or 3 'bubbles' of sinus pills, Immodium, bonnie, antihistamine, and DDs inhaler.

Also in the bag are frozen water bottles (or just a few empty ones to pour QS water into), ponchos (squooshed down into a ziplock bag), sunscreen, and a sunscreen stick (for noses/lips). If we are traveling in the summer/really hot times, I have an insulated lunch pack (fabric) that I carry the water bottles in, as well as some wet, frozen wash cloths. Everything stays colder that way. The last couple of trips we've skipped the water bottles and just gone with what we can get from QS, but I miss having a cold drink in a long line.

I always just take a small cross body bag or a wristlet. Thank goodness for Magic Bands now. ;)

The only reason I take a small bag is to carry a wee bit of cash and a credit card. I saw a family of 5 get in an awkward situation when their magic bands stopped working-they couldn't pay for anything. When this happens, the CM has to send you to Guest Relations. I actually saw it happen quite a few times! Could have been a glitch or they had reached their max for the day.

And a lipgloss. Because I'm addicted. Lol :)

This year I am planning to use my camera bag for my DSLR as my bag. It has a few pockets where I can stash lip balm, hand sanitizer, a bit of cash and cards and my phone. We use a stroller so I will just throw a ziplock in there with sunscreen, a small first aid kit and a change of clothes for DD. Really trying to go lightly but I love having my good camera -- the pics from my phone just aren't the same.

I'm not sure what my main bag will be yet, but I'm getting the kids their own drawstring backpack. They will carry their own autograph book and sharpie, frozen bottle of water, light snack, and poncho. In the main bag some type of wipe, all my meds, Band-Aids (one of us all was get hurt at the state fair), Lip balm, phone charger, and snacks, water and ponchos for me and dh. I'm taking a lanyard and will have all my cards, cash, and key to condo in it. I'm going to attach my travel hand sanitizer to it.

Last trip my kids were 5 and 11 and it was my first bagless trip.

I have a lanyard. In it I carry my ID, maybe $20, my health insurance card and sometimes a credit card. I also carry my Iphone.

The kids carry their autograph books if they want to that day.

I loved not carrying a bag and hope to never go back to carrying a bag. It was so nice and freeing.

ETA: SO will carry our ponchos in his cargo shorts. I pay them at the $1 store or Walmart. Very lightweight.

I like to bring a small backpack (ones used for camping but I just bought the midnight mickey vera bradley) and carry around our rain jackets, sunscreen, a bottle of water, money, phone, and a few snacks. If there is not a lot of room, it deters me from buying souvenirs I really don't need. :thumbsup2

I carry my camera, ID, credit card, and cash. I use a spibelt. It's what I use for running. It just hides under your shirt and no one can even see it.

This last trip I just used a little pouch that I could clip to my belt loop (it also had a cross-body strap that I occasionally used). All I carried was some cash, my small camera, and a park map. I think my mom carried the ponchos that she and I bought, but I can't quite remember what she carried them in.
