DH always laughed at me putting in a toothbrush. Mom always had an apple or orange in the toe. I stuff them so much I have to put them on the couch and they are too heavy and over flowing!

what you'll find in my stockings

DH:
toothbrush
hunting stuff, camo paint, camo tape, handwarmers ect.
candy
scratch tickets
cologne
chapstick
mm candy cane
nailclippers
disposable cameras (he loves having them in his truck for when he sees a wild animal or something)

DD:
lipgloss
toothbush LOL
candy
scratch tickets (a treat)
chapstick
breathsavers
socks
mm candy cane
B & B lotions
nailclippers

what's in yours?

Questions like these are just a mine field for a perv like me....

:rotfl2: I KNEW that was coming.

I hope I can remember everything--I bought all this stuff and wrapped it awhile ago.

DD's stocking:
shower gel
lotion
deoderant
lip gloss (several kinds)
a nail care kit
candy
(I plan on telling her that Santa must have thought she was stinky this year. I ended up getting her a bunch of different shower gels & lotions!)

I'm not done with DH's yet--so far I have a nail care kit and...jeez, something else but I'll have to look when I get home. :teeth:

My mom always put a tangerine in the toe of ours when we were kids but I'm not a big orange/tangerine eater so I just stuff ours with candy.

DMom loves altoids and the type...the easter bunny brought her 3 different types-had to assure her it wasn't her. ;)
She's getting:
Big stuffed bear
Licorice
Room spray
lip balm
smile mints
perfume pens
antibacterial hand stuff
hand lotion
cuticle and healing (little burt's bees pots)

I feel like such a slacker. I haven't bought stocking stuff yet. I guess I better... last year I completely forgot, and had to send DH to the store on Christmas Eve at like midnight. He went to the gas station. You can imagine what the stockings were like! :rotfl: (It's good I can laugh now... I was NOT laughing then.)

Seems like the older they get the bigger the stocking stuffers- so I gave up on the actual stocking and use cute gift bags... this way I can fit books , packages of markers etc in without having to crush any candy!

:rotfl2: Let me guess--pine tree shaped air fresheners, lighters, and Slim Jims for everyone?

I guess we're different -- we only do stockings for the kids, which in my case is 1 7 year old boy and we put "real" presents in the stocking. My son gets a small pile of presents from Santa. Of that pile whatever is the smallest goes in the stocking and then 1 thing from me that's under the tree. Presents from grandma, godmother, uncles and aunts etc . . . go under the tree. This year, for example, he's getting an ipod nano as his "big" present and that will go in the stocking.

Other things that will be in his stocking:

a pack of watercolor pencils
a couple of paperback books (think the size of Junie B. Books)
a package of dye remover (my son loves his orange tie dye shirts, so he's getting a couple of orange shirts, which probably won't fit in the stocking and dye remover. We'll do reverse tie dye on Christmas afternoon as an activity.
a card game
a soft case for the nano
a couple of Ben 10 action figures
maybe a candy bar?

Is this weird? Am I the only one -- is it that my son gets more presents or do you have more things under the tree?

I stuffed 16 stockings this year!

Everything from books, WDW soaps, Tabasco lollipops and a men's hair dye sample (a joke) to DVDs and gift cards. I also went through a shoe box full of old photos and found pics of people opening their stockings from Christmas past, so some of those went into stockings.

DH:
bag of Hersheys kisses
Starbucks gift card
New commuter mug

DS:
Disney Money
Guy type smelly stuff (Axe)
Socks
Starbucks gift card
Fast food gift cards
School logo Beannie
Lava Lamp night lite

DD:
Light up spinning wand-Disney Princesses (for WDW trip)
Deck of Mickey cards for airplane
tinted MAC lip goo
Avon bath body paint
Lava Lamp night lite
School logo ear warmer

Cats:
Balls with bells
Favorite catnip mice

Rats:
Chew sticks
Favorite treats

Me:
I'll bet it is The Body Shop - Mango butter, scrub and lip balm - that is what DH puts in there every year.

Usually its along this line:

Tooth brushes/tooth paste/floss (also can be found in Easter baskets)
some candy
gloves or socks
small games/books
slim jims
sunflower seeds
small jewelery items
makeup/nail polish/manicure set
soaps/deodorants

Since I LOVE to shop until the very last minute I will probably buy a few more things for my boys (DS9 & DS11) stockings since the rest of my shopping is done. But so far, they each get the same things (that way there's no fighting)

One of those BIG hershey kisses (they tell me it's not Christmas without one of these)
toothbrush/toothpaste
a tiny deodorant from the travel size section
a small bottle of Axe spray
box of bandaids
thing of bubble gum
plastic candy cane filled with hershey kisses
lava lamp night light
a couple of Ninetendo DS games (they're getting the Nintendo DS for Christmas)
one is getting gummyworms/whoppers
the other is getting skittles/swedish fish (these are their fave candies)
small container of tiny M&M's

I think that's all (I will probably get each of them a coupon book from either McD's or Wendy...then on vacation I can take them to lunch one day)

My husband and I usually don't do stockings. Except I always put a big bag of peanut M&M's in his.

I still have to finish shopping for my mom's stocking! But the contents will probably be something like this:

*Frebreeze Scent Stories Discs (already got 2 of these)
*Peanutbutter candies
*Candle/Incense
*Lotions/Burts Bees Products
*Other gums and candies.. perhaps a few cute joke gifts

Growing up my stockings always had candy, scratch-off tickets, some small toys, and things like lotion, body washes etc.
