What do you store in your owner's locker?

I'm wondering if an OL makes sense for us. We go down about once per year, but I cannot picture what I would keep in an OL.

The owner's locker has some great info about this on their web site as well as some great threads here. We just got a locker and used it for the first time in January. We will be back down in August.

I was amazed. I did not think I would keep that much in the locker but, we filled it!:thumbsup2 I put all my laundry supplies: detergent, dry sheets, stain remover, color fast sheets and pop-up hamper; bath room supplies: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, razors, tooth paste (no tooth brushes - I thought that would be fowl), wrinkle release, sun screen; kitchen supplies: measuring spoons, real plates & mugs, scissors, some medications like Advil, Benadryl, Tums. After I did laundry, my husband and I both picked out a few shirts we only wear at Disney and left them behind. Best of all I bought a Tower of Terror Hotel bathrobe, washed it and left that there too.

On our next trip I will only need a carry on!:cool1:

I left full sized toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, laundry supplies, flip flops, tennis shoes, WDW specific books, lots of little first aid items, tea, mugs, Crystal Lite packets, a backpack, pin lanyard, slippers. Just lots of little stuff that adds up to a lot when you're packing. I'll be doing carry-on this March.

All of the above, plus umbrellas, rain ponchos, cell phone chargers, flashlight, keyboard for laptop, flatscreen for laptop, framed photos of kids and grandkids.............I don't have my list in front of me, but as you can see my OL is very full.
edited to add that one of our very favorite things in our OL is a Brita Faucet Filter, we love having fresh, clean water.
Love my OL !!!!!

Here's my list... and yup, it all fits! :rotfl: We usually get a DVC villa and do a lot of cooking in the kitchen. We generally drive but we intend to start flying soon and it'll be nice to be able to travel light and still have all the useful but "sharp" stuff that you're not allowed to bring on the plane (corkscrew, etc.) and some big things (folding stepstool so the boys can reach the bathroom sink) which would be a pain to pack.

Wow, MyDizneyBoyz, I love your list, you have everything on there. At first I thought I wouldn't have enough stuff but your list is great. I could definitely fill up a tub now.

We keep a ton of stuff in ours and I love it! We keep all of our bathroom stuff, sunscreen, some kitchen stuff, our aerobed and sheets for it, a park bag.....just stuff that I don't want to have to pack everything we go. And I found I was leaving it home and then buying the stuff everytime we visted because I did not want to carry all that luggage. It got to be really expensive and wasteful. I cannot say enough good things about our OL and I would love to have two!

Some folks take a cardboard box or get a plastic container the size of their locker at home to find out how much they can get in. They do hold allot of stuff. We love ours. The stuff we have in ours has already been listed by others.

oh great list I just ordered my owners locker today for our April trip.

We did this and it worked great! We packed a box to mail to ourselves at SSR to put in our OL. It was right around Christmas time, so I used one of the bins that we keep Christmas decorations in as a comparison. It worked great!

I think that the items that have been listed pretty much covers much of what we have in there. The OL site has a pretty good list on it too. Since we knew that we would be back in a few months, we also left some small individual sized jars of jam, peanut butter etc (things that would not spoil). We also have clothes pins in ours that double nicely as chip clips. The next time we will leave our sneakers since they take up so much room when you pack. (I think that we would keep those in a large ziploc with a dryer sheet though. :))

The only thing that threw our plan out of whack was that we bought those really soft resort robes for both DH and I. There was no way to put those into the container with the other items and still close the lid properly. We ended up needing a second locker. :rolleyes1 If we had not done that, we would have easily been able to put everything in our first locker and still have room left over. It was well worth it to be able to travel carry on only. I also liked getting there and being able to use my own "stuff."

Maybe I missed it but in addition to everything else that's been listed, we also have a Pur Water pitcher in ours and two extra large cups for tea, soda, etc. DH wants a BIG cup of Diet Coke in the room!

We just registered for our owners locker to be used in july... do most people buy everything down there for it or lug it all down in a seperate suitcase?

We did a combination of both. Some things, like our poncos, umbrellas, water filter, etc. we hauled down. Others, like shampoo, etc. we purchased down there.
