Seeing the grocery threads made me start thinking about the cost of things in different regions, and I thought it might be fun to compare! Tell us generally where you're from, and the price you're paying for staples.
We're in SW Va and are paying the following:
Milk- $2.57 per gallon. (Fat-free, Wal-Mart brand)
Bread- $2.64/loaf- Arnold's Whole Wheat- Wal-Mart
Ground Chuck- $1.25/lb or so- local non-chain grocery store
Cereal (Rice Krispies)- $2.52 (12 oz box)- Wal-Mart
Pasta- 1.23 (Whole Wheat Penne* Barilla)- Wal-Mart * all the types are the same price for the same size box..we get the 13.25 oz.
Feel free to add any other prices in that you like
