What do you ship to your resort before arriving??

Nancyg56 - Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of sending an extra set of clothes and pjs for each of us, but just added another item to my list... saline solution and contact supplies! No way I could be without these!

Does anyone know about having a cell phone in carry ons? A family member said that they were recently banned from carry ons!

According to the TSA site (here ) cell phones are permitted on flights so if you're traveling domestically your good. It also says 4oz of saline solution is also allowed as carry on. Of course larger amounts can be in your checked bags as well.

I am thinking of shipping some stuff as well....how far out does this have to be done....I am leaving in 6 days....am I out of luck?? I read somewhere that it should be sent 10-12 days out?
Thanks
kristy

Thanks so much for this link!! I've forwarded it to all members of our family travelling to Disney - don't want any snags or hold ups at security! :bitelip: And good to know because my DH uses gel deodorant!

Thinking about shipping ahead, has anyone just used a spare checked in suitcase and filled it with goodies, etc. instead of shipping ahead. I know we risk the chance that the items will be delayed and not waiting for us at our resort, but just looking at our options. I mentioned the other day to 2 neighbors who've recently made trips to WDW and said that we are looking to ship goodies ahead of time and got the strangest look like why would I do that?!

At least DH and fellow DISers are supportive of my thoughts :teeth:

We just used gardengrocer.com today and the order arrived promptly and was delivered right to the resort bell desk and then to the room. I thought their prices were very reasonable and the delivery fee was $10 flat with no minimum order. We order bottled water, soda, chips, donuts and other snacks. They stock everything from diapers and sunscreen to milk and fresh fruit. I will definitely use them again. :thumbsup2

This is a fantastic idea! We always cram that stuff into our luggage and then end up going over the weight limit, which adds $25 - $50, so this would definitely be easier and cheaper.

Now, how to get around my procrastination problem and ship that thing in plenty of time...

Thanks DISers! :disrocks:
