what do you say to the characters...?

AH, thank you so much...I didn't even think to look it up (I'm an english teacher, I should know better). I thought it was a coloquialism or something.

No problem!! I was curious too, and as I have a dictionary.com search bar in my browser, it was simple to cut and paste it in. I am a word freak I actually get a "word a day" e-mail from dictionary.com.

Oh, these are fantastic!

I kind of thought FH and I might be getting a bit too old for visiting the characters, even though this will be out first trip to Disney. But now I'm all excited!

FH isn't a Disney freak like me, so I'm making him watch a Disney cartoon once or twice a week so he can brush up on his Disney characters!

We too always make sure we say thank you for autogrpahs and pictures. DD always gives the characters several hugs. She just adores them. She's 3 1/2. Many a time the characters have started interactions with DD On our last trip this past Feb. we met Sleeping Beauty standing alone by the Epcot Resorts Entrance. DD posed for pictures and gave her many hugs and then Sleeping Beauty sat down and put DD on her lap and the two started talking about DD's nail polish! It was so cute. Sleeping BEauty was telling DD about how she and Cinderella get together for nail polishing parties and then have some tea together. DD was just in AWE! The two of them chatted for quite a bit of time as no one else was around. That was awfully sweet of Sleeping BEauty to spend so much time with DD and of course DD talks about that meeting till this day! :)

Great thread!!!

We were at Breakfastasaurus last year on Mickey's 75th Birthday. We were at the first seating and ours was one of the first tables he got to and I said "Happy Birthday Mickey!" everyone at our table also wished him a happy 75th and he acted surprised and pleased that we knew it was his birthday.

I told Pluto he looked very dapper in his bandana and got a lick.

On our Keys tour in the Utilidors, we saw Cinderella getting ready to go on stage, and I made a slight curtsey (gee, how do spell that?) and got a smile.

And of course, we always thank the characters and wave bye.
