What do you save?

See, now these are very cool to have! My problem is this: I have NO CLUE where the things I save "because they will be great mementos" actually are. Sigh, I wish i actually scrapbooked all the things I say I'm going to scrapbook.
:wizard:

A suggestion: consider purchasing a trunk! Sometimes you can find them at Hobby Lobby. I have a trunk full of "stuff" I've collected over the years, including everything from the Osmond Brothers lunchbox I carried all through 4th grade (it still smells like banana's inside :goodvibes) to playbills from all the plays I've ever seen to my partially used book of tickets from Disneyland circa 1979.

I bought hanging files for my boys so their good junk is organized by year...but the trunk works for me!

I usually bring home tons of napkins that say "Disneyland" across the front. I also bring home Disney bags from my purchases, and receipts, a million photos

Nice collection Mike_M. :wizard:

Thanks! :) I actually still haven't found a good way to keep these. They just sit on my desk at home in a spot I try and keep from getting cluttered. :rolleyes1 Does make it easy though to thumb through them every once in a while. :)

Another cool freebie I got from our last trip was an entire Blue Bayou dinner menu. My parents got one on a trip a couple months before ours so when we went, I asked if I could take it home and the waiter said no problem. It is also on my desk but would look pretty nice framed IMHO.

I save the usual things: shopping bags (which I use to store art/collage making pictures/paper in), the free guidebooks (wish I still had all the ones I saved as a kid! I should ask my mom if she knows where they are...), and the pins they give out on birthdays & at the character meals.

But my favorite things that I've saved are the plastic orchid that was on my cup of fruit punch at Tahitian Terrace, and some roses from one of the planters out front...those are all in a shadowbox on the wall, in front of the picture of the Castle that I use as my icon :wizard:

I thought it was weird that we saved all of our shopping bags, receipts, color-changing straws, maps and schedules until this thread started.

One year I tried to save all of my parking passes to see just how often I was going to the parks. Sadly a few flew out my convertible and DH "helped" me by cleaning my car and a few went into the trash :(

It's funny to see how many people collect this stuff since I was just thinking of offering up a old , map of the park.

:(

I have saved: Parking passes, unused FPs, receipts, shopping bags, maps, entertainment guides, napkins (unused), character meal buttons. Pretty much everything.

My parents got a BB menu from the late 60's or early 70's which I now have. You wouldn't believe the prices! :)
