What do you remember about your first trip to WDW?

My mom and I getting chased down main street by Goofy. I was 14 and only MK then! I remember loving it and couldn't wait to go back!:teeth:

I don't remember anything about my first trip to WDW because I wasn't born yet. My parents went to WDW at some point during my mother's pregnancy so I as there but obviously can't remember it. My first Disney memories are from my second trip post birth :p . I can remember riding Small World, seeing the Castle, exiting the Country Bears (although I have no recolection of seeing the show) watching the afternoon parade, riding Cinderella's Carousel, and meeting Mickey and Minnie.

My first trip to the WORLD was in 1/95 for my honeymoon. I had been to Disneyland a ton of times so I knew well of the Disney Magic.

I remember being completely flabbergasted at the size of EPCOT and being so tired upon arrival (we had taken a red-eye with a 3 1/2 layover in Chicago from 4:00 AM to 7:30 AM). We basically just wandered around the World showcase and had dinner at Teppanyaki, then crashed at the Wilderness Lodge.

I DISTINCTLY remember being shocked at the facade of It's a Small World...very boring and blah compared to DL.

I remember thinking Adventureland was so huge, you could land a plane in the middle of it. (Many of my thoughts were comparisons to DL).

LOVE LOVE LOVING Tower of Terror. And still do.

Loving the miles and miles of beautifully landscaped drives...Anaheim is rather ugly and WDW just transports you into Utopia practically.

My first trip was in the early 70's I guess I was around 7? My sister was around 3 and all she wanted to eat was candy. There was a man who walked by wearing a green mask and my parents joking told my sister "see that man ate too much candy and look what happened to him". Well, she wouldn't eat ANYTHING after that. I remember my parents begging my sister to drink some chocolate milk after that just to get something into her. :teeth:

Having a HUGE argument with my baby sister we were 10 and 11. She was afraid to go on Space Mountain and I was trying to convince her to go on it, I got a little nasty, told her she wasn't my sister anymore and made her cry:(
It's funny how those awful moments stay with you.

My very first trip was back in the summer of 1976. Our church youth group went. I remember the incredible lines for Spc. Mtn.,Hnt.Man.,20,000 Leag.,and Small World. My fav at the time was Small World because it was so nice and cool!!! I remember the Bicentennial Parade and Mission to Mars. I remember the WEDWAY people mover and the "If you had Wings" We went to the Bear Jamboree several times also. I remember that I was so tired of walking and we used to Skyway alot. I also remember getting on one with my friend along with some people that spoke Spanish and we just KNEW they were talking about us but of course we did not know what they were saying.

You know the more I think about it it might have been 1975 when we went. I think I was 14. I know Disney has Parades that go on for over a year and I know the Bicent. Parade was going on but does anyone know if it was going on in 1975????

I have now lost count at how many times I have been but I would have to guess it is at least 30 times. DD who is 6 has been 11 or 12 times now and she loves it as much as I do!!
