What do you recommend NEAR Hollywood?

On one of the nights that we will be in Hollywood, we do not want to eat at the restaurants in the park, but would like something close enough that we could go eat and go back to the park if we wish. Which restaurant would you recommend that is close enough to do this without wasting hours doing so?

You could take the boat over to the Yacht/Beach Club/Boardwalk area. There's a lot of reastaurants there. It's about a 20-30 minute boat ride.

Cape May Cafe Clambake. It's an all-you-care-to-eat buffet with clams, mussels, crab legs and tons of other good food.

The same boat travels to Epcot. We are going to leave our children one night with their uncle to eat at Sci-Fi and my husband and I are going to travel over to Epcot to eat in Italy. That gives you a lot of choices!

Beaches & Cream, at the BC, would be my choice. For a more upscale experience, Flying Fish is an excellent choice.

I would say Cape May Cafe or go over to Epcot and go to Tutto Italia, Chefs de France or Le Cellier..they're all pretty close to the boat and wouldn't be out of the way.

I love Kouzzina, despite the negative reviews common on these boards. The menu is perhaps a bit more ethnic than the average Disney restaurant, but that's why my family ranks it among the best on property. If your group will not eat Greek food, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is another nice option. It's an expansive buffet, so it should please even the pickiest eater, and the food is decent.

We are giving Big River Grill a chance this trip. It seems to have a nice menu and we don't want to eat in the park so we're giving it a try! We are also going to Beaches and Cream for lunch, but mostly for the ice cream!!!
