What Do You Put On Your Cottage Cheese ?

My mom thought it was healthy to eat, so as a kid she would mix a little grape jelly in it .
It worked, I ate it.

on the other hand, I've found very few foods I didn't like.

Well most fruit is pretty good with cottage cheese. Haven't tried some of the other things mentioned.

I like to mix fried rice with cottage cheese.

Can't help you - I don't do cheese of any kind.

Yuck. Cottage Cheese.

O.K Just a lurker here , but I had to chime in .....Seriously ... The best way to eat cottage cheese is between ritz crackers. Try it you may like it...:thumbsup2

I love cheeses - my favorite thing. However, I draw the line at cottage cheese, too curdely for me. The chunks in it remind me of the lumps you would get in sour milk.  My brother use to eat it with ketchup on top and boy was it gross looking.

We do buy it for my dogs - they absolutely love it. The vet recommended it for our Doberman because of "gas" issues. She could pass some pretty nasty toots at times and the cottage cheese helped with that problem. She passed last year but our two little "kids" (Maltese and Pommie) still eat it and they go crazy over it.

Pears.
Beets.

I usually top my salads with about a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese instead of dressing...a lot less fat and adds protein and calcium.

I never thought of that! I bet my dogs would love it too! Do you give them the real kind or the lowfat kind?

My dog is lactose intolerant so cottage cheese is out of the question.

DH gets the real stuff not the low fat. It's funny, when he sits in his recliner eating a bowl of cottage cheese, both dogs get in his lap and just stare at him with that look of "Daddy, where's ours. Why are you eating our treat?" When he finishes most of it, he will spoon feed the stuff to each dog. Can you say spoiled?

I put roundup on Cottage Cheese to stop the rotten, fermenting, fungi growth that is inherent in cottage cheese.:scared1:

Fruit or any other food should NEVER be ruined by putting it on cottage cheese.

cottage cheese is good for the dogs but, it should be the low fat. like us, they don't need all those calories.

but, mine get what hubby buys. the full 4% stuff.

they do know that container, too.

one day we ran out of bowls and dh took a c/cheese container out and sat down to eat some cereal. THE DOGS JUST SAT AND STARED AT HIM!

he didn't know why. then he started laughing he could barely tell me what was so funny. they were waiting for their c/cheese... oh how they know those containers... :goodvibes
