Another southern girl......I love dressing! I've already made turkey and dressing once this fall, and can't wait to eat some more next week
I cook a wild turkey (courtesy of dh) and reserve the broth and some of the meat. I make the cornbread the night before, and use biscuits leftover from breakfast.
Pan of cornbread
2 or 3 leftover biscuits
A few slices of sandwich bread
can of cream of chicken soup
can of cream of celery soup
chopped onion and bell pepper, sauteed in butter
a few raw eggs
a few boiled eggs, diced
salt and pepper to taste
broth from turkey to make it soupy
served with a can of cranberry sauce of course (NOT whole cranberries)
I think my mother's is better. Dh only eats my dressing, so I guess I do something right
****This makes 2 big casseroles, so I freeze one when it is just the 5 of us (dh, me and the 3 kids). I pulled out the frozen dressing last weekend, so I've actually already had dressing several times this year.

. I think you would enjoy it along with your Pumpkin pie!
