What do you put in your garbage bread??

Never heard of it.

Not sure if I want to eat something referred to as garbage.

But I do like strombolis on occasion.

I've never heard of the garbage bread, a stombolli or a pepperoni roll but they sound good!

So, let me understand......take a pizza dough round, sprinkle ingredients and roll up and bake?

As for a variety as OP asked:
What about homemade ranch dressing, crushed garlic, italian sausage, kalamata olives, spinach, chicken and cheese (feta and mozzarella)?
How does that sound?

Never had one but I can give a suggestion (from my favorite calzone):

Ricotta Cheese
Mozzeralla Cheese (sp?)
Spinach
Artichoke Hearts

Really simple, 4 items and so yummy!

I didn't say it was 'good' for you just GOOD!!!

That is a stromboli to me. I have never heard of garbage bread before. And that is my typical combo...pepperoni, salami, mozzarella, homemade marinara.

That sounds good. But, I would leave out the ranch dressing. Or serve it on the side for dipping.

A pepperoni roll is not stromboli and it is not garbage bread. It is a pepperoni roll. (I really miss pepperoni rolls. )

Not sure what part of WV you are from,but seeing as how you are in Frederick, you arent too far from Shepherdstown WV. If you are ever down this way,stop into the bakeshop in town. They have some of the BEST papperoni rolls ever. I must have gained a ton from those darned things when I worked there...never met one I didn't like

I'm from Morgantow, WV. (LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!)

I'll have to stop at that bakeshop. I think pepperoni rolls are one of the things I miss most from WV.

Sort of. I always thought a calzone was like a stromboli except made with ricotta cheese rather than mozzarella.
