What do you pack for the parks?

I just pulled my pack and looked. It's prepped already for June. LOL

Advil, band aides, small sunscreen, small comb, tiara, minnie ears (so I would choose whichever I want to wear that day and leave the other in the room), immodium, rolaids, spare camera batteries, phone usb cord and portable phone charger, park map for whichever park I'm in for the day, small kids size water bottle, tiny flashlight for nighttime map reading, hand fan, sunglasses, a few quart size ziplock bags, poncho, passporter pouch which I wear around my neck in the parks - I put in that money, Annual pass, drivers license, credit card in case magic band doesn't work (had that happen), insurance cards and if I've driven my AAA card in it.

I also usually toss in a damp washcloth with ice in a ziplock bag for wiping my face at the last minute and occasionally a pair of flip flops so my feet get a break from the shoes I'm wearing.

It sounds like alot but many things are in travel size packages and put it in a ziplock bag so they aren't loose inside the backpack and it's not heavy.

Wallet, Advil, bandaids, filtered water bottle(s), sunscreen, snacks, phone charger, ponchos

What I don't need to lug around:
- cups of ice water are free at all quick service counters.
- tylenol, allergy stuff, ibuprofin, band aids, etc are all free at first aid.
- sunscreen. I don't usually stay around the parks for high sun so I can get to this after I leave, my allergies also cause skin irritations and it doesn't mix well with sunscreen so i'm more a loose clothing that looks like I'm dressed wrong as it's the most comfortable with sun for

Seasons where it's warm in morning and evenings:

daughter, phone, magicband, wallet (various discount cards that work around disney+id needed for discounts and medical cards), some pocket money and cigarettes is generally all I bring to the parks.

Seasons or days I think a change of clothes might be wise:

same as above + a change of clothes, especially socks in a small bag that I locker at the front of the park. sometimes I'll put in some form of an electrolyte drink for the ride home in the locker as well.

These are free from first aid if you didn't know.
After all these years, I am JUST now learning that these items are FREE???

I try to travel light, but when I know we're going to a restaurant straight from the park, I bring a travel size Gold Bond powder, hairbrush, eyeliner & lipstick.

Gold Bond powder is great to pack for a Disney trip. Takes care of all kinds of itchies and stinkies for the family. ;)

actually i never bring sunscreen in with me.
i apply before i head out to the parks and usually there's enough shade and inside attractions that i don't need to reapply.

i've been really cutting back on what i bring in my bag in recent trips.
last time this is all i brought...
-small wallet
-phone
-travel size hairbrush
-chap stick
-otc medications in a small jar you can get in the travel section of walmart
-flashlight (i'm visually impaired and cannot see well in the dark so if i'm alone or separated from my party in a dark area it helps)
-poncho
-eye glasses case (only for HS because i prefer to take them off for RNRC)
-and i wear a hat.

Autograph books and sharpies (I put them all in a gallon size bag to make it easy to grab them easily)
M&M container with coins for pressed penny machines
Sandwich bags (labeled with sharpie for each of my kids) to keep up with the newly-pressed pennies
Wet Wipes
Touring Plans for the day & park map/times guide
Portable charger and cable for phone
Comb
Lipstick/Lipbalm
Advil (I am prone to headaches)
Sunscreen if we are running late and don't want to take time to apply it in the room
2-3 bottles of water. We have three kids and almost broke the bank buying it on our first park day this last trip. (Didn't stop at QS to get some because I wanted to be able to close it). That would at least get us started, then we would refill or buy more

In my walker bag, I carry:
- 2 ponchos (one for me, one for the walker)
- Umbrella (more for shade than rain)
- Flip flops (in case shoes get soaked in the rain, I can drive home without wet feet)
- Pin trading lanyard (wearing it makes me itchy)
- Sunscreen (I burn easily and have to reapply if I'm out all day)
- Small screwdriver (to fix the walker if something comes loose)
- Wide mouth water bottle that I refill with cups of ice water at QS places
- Cooling towel and misting fan (Only at the height of summer and only if I'm going to the parks all day)

In a cross body purse, I carry:
- Waterproof bag with my phone, battery pack, and cable (and my Kindle if I expect downtime somewhere)
- Ziploc bag of SOTMK cards (only when going to MK, of course)
- Keys & wallet
- Asthma inhaler, Chapstick, folding hairbrush, spare hair tie, travel size Advil bottle (these things live in my purse anyway)

I wear sunglasses, a baseball cap, and a MagicBand. The sunglasses go into the purse on rides.

Wallet, cell phone and a foil packet of sunscreen for reapplying. I can get ibuprofen/acetaminophen/asprin and band aids at first aid should the need arise. I also wear a hat with a 3" all around brim.

Wallet
Phone and portable charger
Sunglasses
Small bottle of pain relievers
Hand sanitizer
Lip balm
Gum and/or mints
Reusable water bottle
Small snacks (like a granola bar)

If the weather is going to get cold later, I'll also take a light jacket.

Why do y'all bring sunscreen? Don't you apply it before you leave the room?
If my red head/so pale he's transparent skinned DH can make it without reapplying all day anyone can

I bring the tiny bottle of sunscreen because my husband and son frequently need to be on medications that cause them to be extremely susceptible to sunburn. While we apply sunscreen before leaving the room and *usually* take an afternoon break (at which time we can reapply sunscreen in the room before heading out again), we like to keep our plans flexible. So while we might *plan* to go back to the room in the afternoon, if lines are short and crowds feel light, we might decide to stay in the park for the afternoon. While the little bottle of sunscreen won't give all of us a second coating, at least my husband and son can reapply.

Lots of the stuff already listed...but one thing I didn't happen to see that we brought with us this last time were some cooling towels. I don't know where my MIL bought them or how much she paid, but they're made of a foam-like material, you wet them and they stay somewhat "cool" all day. Helped the kids out during a recent hot trip.

I'm mostly Polish/German, white skinned as can be. I can't make it all day without burning. I need to reapply sunscreen at least twice a day.

Not to mention skin damage & cancer can occur without actually burning.
"Each year in the U.S. over 5.4 million cases of nonmelanoma skin cancer are treated in more than 3.3 million people". from skin cancer.org

Steps of soapbox:-)

Suncreen, phone, wallet, tissue (I get chronic bloody noses), bandages, hand sanitizer, ibuprofen, and my poncho, typically.

My last trip is was just ds13 and me and we would plan early start and back to hotel around 2 for a break. For the morning/early afternoon, I brought a back pack and had 4 bottles of water, trail mix, protein bars, sunglasses, coin press book, wallet of course.
when we headed out at night....often nothing but our magic bands. with that, we didn't even have to bring money. and I purchased whatever drinks we wanted.

hi, just wondering what sort of items folks bring into the parks? Sunscreen seems a given, but curious what else? My husband I plan to carry hip packs (either one or two), and our two DD are 8 and 7 years old. I thought we would buy water as we get thirsty and we do not plan to stay all day in the parks, but take a break after lunch.

Thanks!
I pack a small string bag with:
Bottled water & snack ziplock bag of cashews or almonds (to curb hunger in long lines)
Small zip pouch to hold ID, credit card, DVC member card, AP card, Disney Rewards Card, Disney gift cards, & $20 cash
Small ziplock bag with a couple of mole skin strips, 2 band aids, glasses cloth, Tums, Tylenol, ponytail holder & antibacterial wipes
Sunglasses
Columbia rain jacket- if rain in forecast (folds up tightly & is very light weight)
Mickey Mouse ball cap or Nike visor
