What do you order when you go to Panera Bread?

Mostly get the 1/2 sandwich & soup combination for lunch. Don't really go that often since I think their food is very pricey compared to the competition. Their menu is basically soup/salad/sandwich and positioned somewhat above the typical fast food place. Some of the offerings vary seasonally, but haven't been there recently.

I don’t go to Panera much anymore. When the kids were younger we went for lunch often. I have 2 of them super close to my house. Now when I go it’s pretty much to just pick up a French baguette. In the past I either had salad or bagels. My kids would get sandwich and soup but the sandwiches were always skimpy with the meat.

I don’t know their menu well enough to remember exact names of things. But I like one of their breakfast sandwiches. It’s a bagel with egg and spinach on it. Their oatmeal is pretty good too. If I go for lunch I get one of the salads.

A Sierra Turkey sandwich with Xtra chipotle Mayo and chips. It is not on the menu at all paneras but we always ask and get it. Ds loves it.

The Napa almond chicken salad Sandwich I also like their French onion soup.

TC :cool1:

Incidentally, if visiting St. Louis, you might think there are none.

It's called St. Louis Bread Co. here because this is where they started out.

Same stuff, different name is all.

I really wanted to like Panera and we were all so excited when it opened but ours just isn't all that great. $15+ for lunch seems a bit much for a sandwich/soup or sandwich/salad. I may give them another try just so I can try the flatbread pizza tho as I'm a sucker for pizza.

My fav at constant PTA sessions was a half salad and a half asiago roast beef sandwich with chips, they changed the dressing so I stopped going and last time I went it was obvious it hit the skids so no more. IF they brought back that dressing or put it back in stores I'd try again, it was the best.

Bacon Turkey Bravo is my standard.

However, I agree with many others on here, food went downhill. My SIL & I would always stop for lunch at Panera when she comes into town and we are running around.

When she came in December we did Panera the first day, and lunch at Carrabba’s the second. Not only was Carrabba’s soup and salad endless (and you could try different options) it was by far superior. And the kicker … cheaper! We went again when she visited this month and said buh-bye to Panera. This is now our go to lunch spot.

Fuji Apple Chicken Salad - all romaine, with pickled onions & cucumbers. Though I will admit the last time I got one, it was disappointing. We don't have one in town so I don't get it very often.

Whatever I order, they prepare wrong and then have to prepare again to match what I ordered.

Everytime, every location.

But the food is ultimately tasty so I return.

We stopped going there. Prices are too high. And, the last 2 times we went, they had some reason or other for not honoring their own coupons that we got in the mail (and they were nasty about it). So, they are off of our list.

Nothing. We went in when ours first opened and walked right back out after seeing the menu. The prices are way too high for what it is (glorified fast food). If I'm going to pay that kind of money, I'm going to a sit down restaurant and be served.

When I used to go there I would get either the bbq chicken salad or the BLTA (BLT+avacado). The sandwich was really good but I don't think it was worth the $14 they charged. I stopped going there about a year ago. They discontinued the veggie cream cheese and stopped offering fresh lemons for their iced tea. My son loves their broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl, only thing he ever gets. My other son will only get the cinnamon bagel. The food is really good, just too expensive.
