We love the cultural and ethnic diversity. Our DD is adopted from China so it's especially important for her to have ties to her birth culture.

We could do without the humidity.

I love that there are always interresting jobs available, the locals are great, there's always something to do in the summer, and that it's not huge without being boring.

I hate traffic in the summer, cold cold winters, and tourists (ironic, I know).

I love the extreemly low crime, the rual atmosphere, the friendliness of all my neighbors, being just an hour away from Nashville and all it's cultural and shopping opportunities, and the close proximity of family and friends.

I hate the humidity.

I love that my city (of approx. 34,000 citizens) is located on the Erie Canal, right where it meets with the Niagara River.
It's a very scenic and historical area.
A few minutes in either direction and we have Buffalo and Niagara Falls, with all they have to offer....and yet we are away from the hub-bub.
Our city has an excellent school system, and I feel safe here.

I am not crazy about the fact that my city (of approx. 34,000 citizens) does not have one single department store! There are mostly small businesses and shops...but not enough restaurants...unless all you crave is pizza. There is a company that owns a lot of the now vacant buildings that used to house a dept. store and some alright restaurants. His rental fees have escalated to the point that no one wants to come in and fill the vacancies.
