We'll be there, staying at the BCV's for the very first time in April. I love pool slides, would love to hear everything you love about this slide and the pool itself. Thanks!

I love stepping into the pool and feeling the sand at the bottom. I love the hidden hot tubs. I LOVE the slide. I may be old, but I do love a good slide! I love the fact that I stayed at the Beach Club for 5 days and didn't even see the other side of the pool until the end of my trip! (it's that big!!) 11 days and I will be there again...can't wait.

Tell ya something I didn't like... the fact that you have to pay to use a tube in the 'lazy river' section. $10/day or $3/hour. What a rip-off.

I got a kick outa walking in the sand, waist-deep in water, and then -- flumpf! -- sinking up to my chest.

FWIW: my wife LOVES Blizzard Beach, but HATED the slide at this pool. Too scary.

Greg, can you ask her what scared her about this slide? I'd love to hear all about it.

What I like about SAB is that it keeps the quiet pools and hot tubs empty!

As I recall, it was too fast and rough for her tastes. Not quite the gentle, dream-like experience one has on some of the flumes at BB :D

Thanks Greg...I've been looking forward to this slide, I hope its not too rough for me.

I love the slide at SAB, but I can say that my gf will not ride this one. She says it burns her back too much.

ok, I like to hear the good and bad, thanks.

Anybody have any pictures of SAB? Can you bring your own float for the lazy river portion?

Thanks!

The sandy bottom is the best:D :D

Yes you can bring your own fun noodle if you wnat or you can purchase one there!!
We love this pool!! The slide is great (a little bumpy I guess where it is put togethere) But Alot of fun!!
Oh yeah and nothing like a Bay smash at the pool bar then float around the lazy river!!!:) Have a great time!!!!

I also love the sandy bottom. Our two kids (3 & 7) love playing on the "beach" and walking around the shallow end. Building castles & such.

I like the kiddie slide and the fact that I can sit with my DD and ride with her.

The sinking sand is fun :)

The whirlpool area in the pool - where you can just float around with the current.

The lazy river is good too, altho I agree that it's lousy that they charge you to rent tubes.

I like the slide ok...but it does hurt my back. (it's bumpy where it's put together)

And our family loves the ducks who swim in the pool. Especially the ducklings! :)

Jill...who will be there VERY soon! :)

The pool is okay, I wouldn't call it amazing or anything. The slide is nice, but, I expected it to be a little more than it is. You basicly go down in a tube, make a few turns, and then end up at a corner of the "active" pool. There is also the quiet pool area and lazy river area to the pool, as well as a jacuzzi or two.

Each of the three resorts also have their own quiet pool and jacuzzi - they are seperate from the SAB area.

The sand at the bottom is really neat......and I didn't think I'd like it when I read about it.

Belive it or not, Stormalong Bay is one of the things we most look forward to for our disney vacations. YC/BC is our absolute favorite resort. Love the sand bottom and just the whole design of the pool. It's like a winding, turning paradise. I don't like slides so I can't personally comment but my husband does and he says it's a blast. We also like the hot tubs - they are quite private. Oh - and the section with the current that takes you around in circles -that's fun. But, I think they've toned that down a bit.

Does anyone know if this pool is warm enough for swimming in December - even if it's a little chilly out? Thanks!!
