What do you look for?

When you go out of town are there any items you look for? I always look for my favorite mustard and Hershey's Special Dark Syrup.

Just interested to see what others go off in search of.

I also love to check out grocery stores just to see what all they carry that I can't get at home. The fresh produce section is the area I tend to spend the most time in.

YES! Anytime I go somewhere I look for India Relish made by Heinz. The last time I found it was about 5 years ago and I cant find it anymore. I have been on their website and I know they still make it, but you cannot buy it online. So, I go into everystore and look to see if they have it. I really should give up as I havent found it yet, but I am a dreamer

I always look for sugar free kool aid in supermarkets in other states, I did find it in Alabama one year!! I love the sugar free cherry kool aid but they don't sell the sugar free stuff anywhere near here anymore!

You mean the Nutrasweet kind right? we have the unsweetened kind too but i like the kind you just pour in water and stir. No additional ingrediants or fuss!

Another thing I have started looking for is Brach's Butterscotch. Can you believe they don't sell it around here anymore?

Maybe we should work out something and all send each other what we want from other areas.

Fudge and chocolate covered strawberries. Not that I can't get them here, it just that everybody makes fudge differently, and I love chocolate covered strawberries.

Whenever we go up North we look for coffee syrup - DS 15 loves to have "coffee milk", and we don't have that stuff here.

Whenever we go back to Michigan for a visit, I have to stock up on Sander's Hot Fudge Sauce. I get about 6 jars, and if I run out, I ask DMIL to ship some down here. It is the BEST hot fudge out there. Anyone from Michigan can back me up on that.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who considers a visit to the grocery store while on vacation recreational. There are specific items I look for when I'm in the region where I'm from--Pork Roll, Bosco Syrup, Peanut Chews.....but when I'm in a region new to me, I just love looking for unusual things we don't have at home. Like in the south, I've noticed a proliferation of differents kinds and brands of syrup.

lol cool ,, we arent hte only oines just the only ones on the shampoo aisle dw and i search for citrershine shampoo and conditioner, we found it here one year andloved it,, then it got dropped and no one in our area stocks it anymore. so every time we go out of town if we stop at grocery or wal mart or target etc we check the shampoo aisle and stock up
