What do you like at Kona?

We're 1st-timers planning on a dinner at Kona.

I read the sticky wings are really good. Appetizer- wise what is another favorite? If had to pick between potstickers and the shrimp and coconut soup, what would you pick?

Entrees: what's your favorite? Anyone know how the almond chicken or NY strip are?

Desserts: again what's is your favorite? what's the kilauea torte and kona kone? Are any big enough to share?

Of the things you mentioned, we have had the wings, potstickers and shrimp. All were good. We have had breakfast and lunch at Kona. The food has always been good, the service might be a little off at times. Kona is worth a try due to setting and location. We plan on going back this week when we are there. It's worth a visit!

I had the terriyaki steak thing and it was really good. It was huge and Dd and I shared. My other DD got the shrimp and scallops (minus the scallops and they brought her more shrimp). Those were good too. I don't remember what DH got.

We love Kona!!! We go every trip. Love the sticky wings-but haven't had the other appts. mentioned.
I love the Mahi Mahi, DH has had the shrimp and scallops and liked it. The Kona Kone is huge and fun and delicious!! I had the fondue last year and that was really good.
My DS(6) loves Kona and asked to go so he can get his favorite meal-chicken soup and a hot dog-too funny!!

DH had Tuna Oscar, DD13 and I both had the Teriyaki Steak. We all loved our meals. I really liked the brocholini for some reason. The meals were all very filling. For dessert, DH had chocolate and banana creme brule, DD13 had the chocolate fondue, I had the white chocolate cheesecake. We all enjoyed our desserts. We were so painfully full when we left there. I think the steak meal could easily be shared as well as any of the desserts. The tuna did not look like alot of food, but DH said it was very filling.

This was our first meal in WDW and DH said that he thought it was going to be our best and we should have saved it for last. However, by the end of the trip he could not decide which meal was best. He enjoyed them all! We did Kona, Teppan Edo, Coral Reef, and LeCellier. He said that each meal had its own special thing.

For lunch I love the steak salad for dinner I get all different things though the macadamia crusted mahi mahi is a long time favorite

I LOVE Kona!!! The sticky wings, and the Teriyaki beef is what I always get and it is always delicious!

I was able to sample bites off my sister's and mother's plates, so I can tell you the teriyaki steak and pomegranate glazed pork chop were good. I enjoyed my prime rib. My mother's friend had the almond chicken. She's quite picky yet enjoyed it very much.

I don't get an appetizer because the Hawaiian bread with macadamia nut butter is addictive.

As the stickey wings also comes with a salad, I will normally order two appetizers, with the stickey wings as my main course, and then dessert. That is more than enough food.

The burgers are really good, but those may only be for lunch. However, by far the best meal there is the pineapple macadamia pancakes (FAR better than the overhyped Tonga Toast). And they'll make them for you for dinner if you ask - last time I did that, the entire table was jealous

The sticky wings and pot stickers are both delicious...among the best appetizers at WDW. The NY strip is also quite good, but I really liked the Tuna Oscar. Seared very well with a delicious sauce and crab...very nice.

The bread is indeed addictive. I wish I had some macadamia nut butter right now...
