What do you leave in the stroller?

When you park it outside an attraction do you leave anything in it? I wouldn't leave my diaper bag because it will probably also have my wallet and camera in it but what about a smaller cooler bag?

We Carry A Backpack With Us To Keep Our Wallets In,and Bring It Onthe Ride With Us And Leave Every Thing Eles In The Stroller,

We left our diaper bag in the stroller along with anything else that my DD insisted on taking to the park and we never had any problems. I wore a fanny pack to carry money and anything else that I wouldn't want to leave in the stroller.

I carry valuables on me (usually in a fanny pack), everything else stays in the stroller. Mostly what anybody would get if they took things would be baby food, diapers & wipes, and a change of clothes for the kids.

I agree with the others...just take a very small bag (like a mini-backpack) that you can carry on rides/into theaters to carry valuables. If you are staying on-site, just carry your room card (which will have your park ticket and charging privileges right on it, so you don't need a wallet) on a lanyard around your neck or in a small coin/card size wallet that you can slip into your pocket when you go on rides/into shows. The Vera Bradley one that I have has a little clip on it so that it can be clipped around a beltloop (or bra/camisole/tank-top strap) so you won't worry about losing it on bouncy ride. Carry your camera (or as have DH carry your camera) on a belt pack...and that's all you'll need to worry about getting stolen. Now, you might take a bottle/cup or snack cup (with goldfish, etc) into theaters with you with little ones...just in case they need something to quiet them (note- I know that many theaters say "No food allowed." However, I've always taken bottles in without any issue).

We also carry a backpack with us for the diaper bag and other stuff. We leave the coats, rain ponchos and other stuff like that in the stroller.

I wear a fanny pack that has wallet, camera, etc. and everything else I leave in the stroller. I'll be sorry when my DS doesn't need a stroller anymore. I can't imagine having to lug everything around and not having a place to store everything when we go on the rides.

Thanks everyone for the advice and tips. Dh and I have been to WDW so many times but taking a baby is a whole new ballgame. :)

We left our soft cooler, DS's extra set of clothes and diapers. We even left a few plush toys. Everything was always there when we came back. We did bring camera and personal backpacks with us at all times.

We do the same as everyone else. I put room cards, cash etc. in the camera bag and we take that with us. We leave the bag with diapers, wipes etc. in the stroller. If it got stollen it would be a pain in the rear to go back to the resort for supplies again but there would be nothing of real VALUE in it.

Not to be so distrusting of other people, but the only thing I leave in our stroller is trash, preferably a dirty diaper to ward off anyone. You don't want your vacation ruined by having something important taken.

We take a backpack with changes of clothing, sippy cups, sunscreen, diapers and wipes, etc. that we leave in the stoller. Then we take a fanny pack for anything valuable. I also leave all but my key card and a couple bucks in the safe at the resort....I figure DH has his wallet if we need to charge something really expensive. He carries our passes and my liscense in his wallet as well.

We bring our own stroller. We leave everything but what we need for a show or ride. We take the diaper bag and the camera. We leave cooler, pin lanyards, toys, ect.. We lock the key in the car and use the key pad on the door to get in. As far as we know we have never lost anything out of the stroller. We have lost stuff at shows and rides (hats, sunglasses, toys). We cover the stuff we leave in the stroller with a baby blanket and zip up the pockets. I think WDW is the happiest and safest place on earth. :cheer2:

Well, since we've had our personal stoller stolen at WDW before, we don't leave anything that we would mind losing. I have a backpack in the stoller with everything we need for the day, and whenever we leave the stoller behind, I take it out and wear it.

I am bringing a small bag for valuables, like my camera, camcorder, cell phone etc... but I will also have a bag I'll keep in our stroller for diapers, wipes, clothes, a towel, sunscreen etc....

I was sitting on a bench just observing the world while my DH and DS went somewhere together when a very friendly Mr. Squirrel came around. I tossed him a piece of popcorn but he did not find that appetizing. Instead, he approached a parked stroller and jumped in. I could not believe my eyes. I was so worried the family would come and not see him and kept my eye on him. He then moved down to the little storage basket beneath the seat and pulled at some bags. I got up and stamped my feet... not sure what I looked liked because I was alone but oh well... He did get out and head back to the grass but I guess we have over domesticated the squirrels and ducks a bit by being too friendly to them. Be careful what type of things you leave hanging out of your stroller. It is not just people you have to worry about. :)

The tip about the dirty diaper, or about pouring coke on to a diaper and leaving it has been in so many guide books for so many years that it may not be as effective as it once was. I think if someone really wants to take your stroller, they'll toss the diaper themselves. The deterent would be having yucky stuff ON your stroller where it has to be cleaned by hand...but then I wouldn't want to do that to my stroller. LOL

Most of the time strollers are safe there. Most strollers that "wander off" are a case of mistaken stroller identity so doing something to make your stroller obviously different are probably the best way to prevent mistaken identity (wrap the handle bars in colored tape from a bicycle shop, have a colorful seat pad insert made, put your name on it somehow...best something that can't be pulled or snipped off in 2 seconds like tying a bandana or putting a ribbon on the handlebar). I usually put a sticker or something with our name, address, phone #, resort etc. on the bottom of the basket or seat and one somewhere like inside the canopy or on the seat under the fabric so if I need to "prove" it is my stroller, I can.

We do leave a diapers etc in the stroller but never anything of value at all...that comes with us.
