I have seen quite a few questions regarding many neighborhoods I have been looking into. Basically wondering how close to the parks, safety, upscale, nice, close to stores...etc.

I have tried searching for some and can find some help(Like windsor and emerald) . But some neighborhoods aren't as talked about.

I know most seem to stay at Bonnet Creek or Windsor. But for those of you that have stayed elsewhere...it would be awesome to hear what you all have to say about these neighborhoods. I keep seeing some really nice homes in some of these areas but then I wonder if the area is a tad shady...
Some of these nice houses have great pricing too!!

Anyway feel free to add any neighborhoods you wondering about..I am listing the ones I had been looking in and have zero clue about!!

Veranda Palms
Paradise palms
Calabria
Aviana
Ridgewood Lakes
The Shire at West Haven
Cypress Pointe
Windsor
Windsor Palms
Emerald Island

Veranda Palms-Dont know

Paradise palms-Very nice, new/er upscale, 24/7 manned security close to Disney (~8 mins to Sherberth rd entrance). Granite/stainless and the clubhouse has lots of amenities.

Calabria-Dont know

Aviana-Don't know

Ridgewood Lakes-Dont know

The Shire at West Haven-Maybe 15 mins from Sherberth rd? Very new, didn't even know they were renting houses yet (I have a realtor who keeps trying to sell me a house there but it seems a little far from Disney for me)

Cypress Pointe_Don't know

Windsor - Hills I assume, very nice, 2006ish build, upscale, 24/7 manned security, 5 mins to Sherberth rd entrance. clubhouse has lots of amenities

Windsor Palms- very nice, upscale, 2000ish build, 24/7 manned security, 5 mins to Sherberth rd entrance. clubhouse has lots of amenities

Emerald Island -A little older 2002ish but nice homes very close to Disney (~5 mins) not sure about gate/security, or clubhouse

the only Cypress pointe that I know is in Lake Buena Vista not Kissimmee where your other choices are - it is a condo/timeshare not a house.

It is nice - don't like the traffic on that part of 535.

of your choices would go wth Emerald or one of the Windsor - just because they are closer to WDW.

For me personally...I am choosing between Reunion and paradise palms. However one came up in that Cypress Pointe neighborhood that was a really nice house that I am considering.

I saw a few more in those neighborhoods that have some really nice homes. I also was posting because I thought others would really like to get some feedback on all these different areas to rent from . Its overwhelming. I have posted quite a few times on here trying to figure out what to do and where to stay.

As I have been coming to the boards I see others have had the same thoughts and wrestling with the same decisions...

Cypress Pointe is in Davenport somewhat by Reunion from what I saw on the map? I think it is very new?

I have not stayed at Reunion but have heard its really nice. I do know that some homes will come with access to water park or other amenities and some houses do not. I think the owner has to own a share of that amenity or something. Just make sure you check that your home has whatever perks you want before you book, and let us know how it was when you get back.::yes::

Ya..that seems to be true! There are some that can get me the passes..but you still have to pay $15 per adult and I don't remember how much for the kids..maybe $10?

The water park wouldn't be an issue unless my kids see it. It's weird how they do it. One condo , I can get passes for two days..but I am unsure if I pay both days which definitely wouldn't make it worth it. Plus I think I would have to plan which days to go . That would be hard. So the water park definitely isn't a selling point for me.

I was all sent with a couple of 3 bedroom beautiful condos until my tween daughter really asked if there wasn't anything with 4 bedroom..Well not in Reunion that I could find. Some of the houses there are so beautiful and solo expensive!

I ended up getting quite a few in Paradise Palms. It doesn't look any less upscale in my opinion to Reunion(well except maybe the grounds). Plus the 4 bedroom is costing me the same or less than Reunion. Its a pain because I was really sold on Reunion.

I also had a Cypress Pointe (was REALLY nice) and a Calabria that was nice come across and will be comparing them. Ha..but it made my decision harder and I really gotta make one!

I was searching for these other neighborhoods and saw a bunch of different posts throughout the years basically with people in my position. Afraid to pull the trigger on a place they are unfamiliar with and have a lot of the same questions. So I popped in and listed the neighborhoods hoping it might help someone else.

I definitely will let everyone know how it is where I stay!!

I am going to piggyback on this thread because I have also been looking at rentals. I fould one in Lindfield Reserve on vrbo.com that looks great. Anyone know about this community?
