I know NOTHING about it (except what I read) and I just booked it!

We are staying at The Dolphin Oct 7,8 and 9. I booked the teacher's rate of $149 for Thurs and Sat nights, but for Friday night I booked the $169 package which gives you a class from 4:30-5:30 pm (I chose the mixology/cocktails class for my husband and I....there are also a champagne class, wine class, beer class, etc) and then from 5:30-9:30 pm there is a beverage and tasting event.

To me, the $169 rate sounds too good to be true...I mean, that is only $20 more than the teacher's rate...yet it includes two $50 tickets to the event, PLUS a class?

Kinda sounds like a mini/poor man's PftS. We stopped doing PftS after going 3 years in a row. It seemed the quality declined each year, while the price rose. I am excited about this event, and looking forward to seeing what it is all about. Here is a link...

It's never been done before, so there isn't much out there that goes beyond what you've already seen. However, Swan/Dolphin restaurants generally equal or exceed the quality of WDW restaurants, so there are some high hopes out there for the Swan/Dolphin event.

Personally I will be at WDW then, but I can't attend due to prior (non-WDW-F&W festival related) obligations. Am looking forward to some reviews though.

I was just hoping maybe someone knows someone who is involved.

I just REALLY hoping it is not jam packed...that is my biggest fear. My idea of jam packed is having to wait in a line of more than 8 or so people (at every booth) to get a tasting.

That is a good point, about the quality of food at the Swan/Dolphin.
